why no recent bind update for CentOS 6?
Hi CentOS developers - I?ve been happily using CentOS for several years now, so thanks for all the good work. In the last week, however, I noticed that while the items in RHSA-2015:1443 has shown up as updates (and announced on centos-announce), the analogous update for CentOS 6, RHSA-2015:1471 (according to https://access.redhat.com/security/cve/CVE-2015-4620), doesn?t seem to be there. Is

This is the first time I've installed updates from CR. I did this on 6.7
in virtualbox. When I reboot, it still says 6.7. When I run lsb_release
-a, it is still 6.7. Are they

NIS libuser and auto-make of maps
I have my NIS user/group files separate from the system user/group
files using libuser to manage them and that works well, but I am
trying to find a way to get libuser to invoke a 'make' of the NIS
maps whenever it updates the master files. Is there a routine I
can configure in libuser to do this, or am I stuck having to do
it by cron?

LDAP useradd command?
Hi,
Is there an equivalent of a useradd for systems that are using LDAP user
management? I know I can build an LDIF file and import it, but it is a bit
of a pain to do it manually all the time.
Is there not an easier / faster way?
Thanks,
Eric

yum update after fresh 5.6 install fails
Hi,
I just finished installing a CentOS 5.6 x86_64 system and the first
thing I wanted to do after the install is to apply the software patches.
But I get the following error when I try to run 'yum update':
Package libuser-0.54.7-2.1.el5_5.2.x86_64.rpm is not signed
and yum update exits without applying any of the patches.
I tried clearing the cache and re-running the update

Changing a user's shell on CentOS Directory Server?
Should unprivileged users be able to change their shell with lchsh on
5.3 and, if it matters, CentOS Directory Server? lchsh seems to
require more open permissions than those which come with a default
installation:
Error initializing libuser: could not open configuration file
`/etc/default/useradd': Permission denied.

List of updates in Update 3 ?
While update 3 was released last week, it looks
like there are 40 or so packages updated. I dunno
about squid, it is listed on
http://rhn.redhat.com/errata/rhel4as-errata.html
but the changelog is from October 2005 (unless it is an rhel only
bug).
