You can encrypt any text file with gpg, and the contents of text file can be anything you want.
I don't think you have stated your problem in sufficient detail.

Question on /usr/bin/import for CentOS 7
Yes I am running as root. If I try as a user I get the same behavior.
Two things here.
If on my desktop in a gnome window I run "import -silent -window root
screen.png" I get a file.
However if I run the command using a shell script on a machine its not
working.
So in my script I have:
export DISPLAY=:0.0
/usr/bin/import -silent -window root screen.png

connection)"
in the log file. This is not me connecting as ::1 is localhost.
What is this - how might I stop it ?
Thanks

PHP mcrypt
Hi,
Could someone tell me how I'd go about compiling php with mcrypt support
from src.rpm?
ie. configure -with-mcrypt[=DIR]
Is it just a matter of calling
rpmbuild --rebuild src.rpm --with=mcrypt
?
Cheers,
MaZe.

How can I remove the four items on screen?
Applications,
Places

possible,
but they can stay - I just don't want anything showing on the screen.
searched all around for kiosk mode gnome3 etc..
not finding anything good for CentOS7. Was able to do this in CentOS 6

Question on /usr/bin/import for CentOS 7
Under CentOS 6 I could run the command:
/usr/bin/import -window root screen.png
to get a screen capture - worked great.
On CentOS 7.2.1511
when I run the above command I hear beep beep
and the resulting screen.png is just black.
Two questions:
1) how can I get the screen shot?
2) how can I disable the beep beep
Thanks,

I set my sendmail.mc file to have a SMART_HOST entry of mail.xyz.com
I do "make" and "service sendmail restart" ... I should be good, but no. :)

ia32-libs for 64 bit CentOS
Hi,
I've been trying to install Zimbra Desktop 7 on CentOS 5.5 using the usual perl script provided. The issue is, I get a warning that my system does not have ia32 libs. I dug a bit on google and found out that 'there is no such package as ia32 libs for Centos'. I also tried all the suggested work arounds like glibc & stuff, can anyone shed more light on this?
Oh, the zimbra

sendmail many emails
I was getting MANY emails from XXX.hinet.net - kind of filled my mqueue
directory.
I stopped sendmail. removed all the files in mqueue, added to sendmail
access a REJECT for hinet.net
This certainly seems to help - but is that the correct way to take care
of this sort of thing?
Thanks,

special tricks for developers box on centos 5
I was just wondering if there are special tricks people do
that compile A LOT on centos? Do RAM disks help or something else I dont
about that minimizes your compile time? I presently have and AMD x2
4800+ with 2GIG ram.
Just curious if I can reduce any more time out of my compiles.
