Help setting up USB drive
I have my 640GB USB drive connected to a CentOS 5 server and using
fdisk, it seems to show a partition of the correct size, /dev/sdd1, but
after mounting, the drive shows only 244M size. Does the message
received when running fdisk below mean I should reformat this drive, I
can't seemed to figure out how to do that with fdisk. Can someone tell
me how to reformat, if needed? The drive is empty,

HLS enabled mounts
Hi Robert,
Unfortunately I am not replying to answer your question but to ask a question on pre-roll. I am working on a similar project but still at the configuration stages. For some reason my intro file is not being played. I am also using Icecast 2.4.4 and have four mount points on one relay server. I am trying to use my intro file on only one mount point. I am also doing mp3 not HLS.

HLS enabled mounts
I second that advice. Also when you reference your file in intro do this <intro>/Sonic.mp3 </intro> . As long as it is in the folder you don’t need the whole path.

How to find out what is deleting my vms
Hi,
I have a CentOS-7 server running KVM but also oVirt.
Recently, following updates, VMs not handled by oVirt have been deleting themselves after they shut down. Previously to this, I have not had any problems of this nature. I cannot say whether the problem is coming from oVirt updates or not.
I am creating a VM using "virsh define myvm.xml" on the server, starting it through

/etc/hosts not resolving hostnames
I have modified /etc/hosts file with IP address and hostname entries.
However, host command is returning 'Host vhost1.example.com not found:

HLS enabled mounts
We use Icecast version 2.4.4 and recently added an intro (preroll) to
one of our channels. Although we haven't had any direct complaints,
there has been a discussion thread with some of our public radio
colleagues getting complaints about users receiving a repeat of the
intro many times when their device switches from WiFi to LTE or unstable
Internet connections.

virtual machine seems to run, but can't connect to it
I'm using ubuntu 12.04LTS
I setup a bridged network:

# The primary network interface
auto eth0
iface eth0 inet dhcp
auto br0
iface br0 inet dhcp
bridge_ports eth0
bridge_stp off
bridge_fd 0
bridge_maxwait 0
Seems to work.
Then I created a virtual machine using Ubuntu's vmbuilder tool like so:

Staging content from modules for temporary use by resources
Hello,
I would like to find a few to use files available in a module for the
execution of a particular resource, without having to stage the file
explicitly onto the client and possibly having to clean it up afterwards.
(This could also apply to content coming from templates.)
The use-cases I have in mind are: running a SQL file (to set up some
content in a database), extracting an archive

[LLVMdev] LLVM backend: Treat some function calls specially
Hello,
I am writing an LLVM backend that generates byte code for a custom virtual
machine. Standard function calls are lowered to a simple
CALL $offsetInByteCode
This works fine so far using the standard machinery of LLVM. But some
functions are not implemented in byte code, but delegated to native
implementations within the VM. Calls to these functions use a non-standard
calling convention

rsync over smb share
I have a FreeBSD unix server that I want to backup to a USB drive
attached to a Windows 2000 server. I mount the smb share on the Unix
server and then try to rsync from the source directory to the mounted
directory, but it syncs all files every time. Can someone suggest if
this should work and what my problem may be?

[LLVMdev] LLVM backend: Treat some function calls specially
Jonas,
Why not lower everything to a single call during instruction selection, and then write a machine function pass that translates the normal CALL's into CALL_NATIVE?

libvirt error messages
Hello,
I am experimenting with libvirt for my diploma. I set up an environment,
where I can stop, resend, generate messages for libvirt.
I am capable also standing between client and server and analyze the number
of current procedure and decide what to do next ( I mean rpc procedure).
So, for example I want to always drop creating snapshots and send an error
to client with my custom message (NOT
