PXE vmlinuz kernel doesn't recognize memory in Intel NUC?
Hello all! I'm hoping someone can help. I'm having 2 issues; first:
When trying to load a CentOS LiveCD via PXE on an Intel NUC (NUC6CAY), I
get:
"Not enough memory to load specified image". The image is 1.1 gigs, and
there is 16 gigs of memory in the NUC.
To combat this, I found this forum post

Does not auto boot after time out
I am having difficulty trying to figure out how to get a computer to
boot from it's local disk automatically after the pxe menu times out.
I installed syslinux-3.11-4 with yum onto CentOS 5.5
It boots to the local disk if I select Local from the menu and press
enter but it never times out and boots localy.
The AUTOBOOT message doesn't appear either.
Which instructions in the PXELINUX

trying to chainload the normal ubuntu pxe installer
Hi syslinux experts,
So, I have a pxe boot tree that looks something like this:
/menu.cfg
/linux
/ubuntu
/amd64
/meerkat (contains a mirror of the netboot ubuntu image)
If I set the following in the appropriate stanza of my dhcpd.conf (for isc
dhcpd v3), I can boot the ubuntu installer:
filename "linux/ubuntu/amd64/meerkat/pxelinux.0";
next-server <tftp_server_ip>;
I would

How to PXE Boot
Folks,
Are there updated instructions on how to set up PXE boot under CentOS 5.x? I found that the system-config-netboot RPM has been absent, and the instructions written reference it, with a bug report not yet closed on Red Hat.
Thanks,
OSC

PXE boot problem
I'm attempting to do a PXE boot and at the point where it tries to load the kernel the process hangs. My default config file looks like this:
default linux
label linux
kernel vmlinuz
append initrd=initrd.img ramdisk_size=10000 ks=nfs:172.16.0.1:/kickstart/ks/cfg
Does this look like a problem with the kernel or with the append line?
Thanks;

troubles with PXE APIS
Hi everybody,
I'm a french student employed to develop the boot loader of some
commercial kernel (real time one). Since the goal is to have a universal
x86 netboot I had to use PXE apis.
However I have troubles using them. Since our kernel is not GPL based I
can't just patch syslinux for our purpose. I tryed to make a very simple
netboot loader using intel doc but I was not able to

Problem with menu.c32
I'm trying to use menu.c32 to boot different kickstart files.
The problem I have is regardless of what menu item I select, it always uses
the client.cfg (default entry) even if I select one of the others.
Any ideas.

I'm at colocaiton in the middle of a big rebuild and it seems I have a

Is PXE kickstart easy to set up? I have a laptop here with DHCP
already going. I google and a bunch of stuff comes up but it does
not look simple.

PXE question
Hello,
I run a cluster for computer game servers which are started on demand
by users who book them. I have 15 nodes, some of them netbooted, some
of them not. Recently i replaced a couple of old netbooted machines
with new ones (with harddrives) for better performance. Inside the
new boxes i used NICs from the old machines that i had taken out of
the cluster and netboot.

Kickstart problem.
I am trying to use kickstart for automated builds from a DVD. Some of
the machines have DVD's drives and some have CDRom drives only. With the
CDRom only machines I would like to plug in an external DVD drive via

The DVD only machines work correctly with a isolinux.cfg as

pxelinux -> pxeboot load?
Hi all,
I've searched the depths of the resources on the internet; however
I'm having trouble deploying a pxeboot solution via pxelinux. So far
what I have successfully implemented in my infrastructure is a
successful pxeboot setup for FreeBSD ( without the use of pxelinux ).
I'd ultimately like to have a solution that will allow me to choose a
network install of various Unix-like
