That's what I thought. To this point, I've never done anything MIDI and I really don't know much about that; I just use my piano for the purpose of playing the piano.

My piano does indeed the big phone plugs.
I have some adapter plugs in my junk box that will probably serve to allow me to do the physical

How To Record Sound Being Played
Hey all,
I've installed MuseScore on my C6.6 machine. MuseScore is able to
generate a midi sounding playback through the speakers of the active
score. I want to capture that sound directly to a file without using a
microphone. I want to send individual sound files to each of the
members of my quartet with their part only.
Does anyone know how I can capture sound directly to a file? Is

if you can plug in headphones, then you can plug it into a computer
line-in jack with a suitable cable, just set the headphone volume on the

Recent inability to view long filenames stored with scp via samba mount
Greetings Samba team,
It has been a long time since I needed to ask a Samba technical question.
Server and workstation are both running the latest Samba packages via Ubuntu 16.04 LTS. I recently applied the security updates... actually that was yesterday I applied them.

Possible recent bug disables sound in wine - Ubuntu Studio
I have sound problems in Ubuntu Studio, starting yesterday. These may be caused by a Ubuntu bug, but I wanted to run them by wine users and see if anyone else is having a similar problem.
My configuration:
I use Ubuntu Studio. I installed it clean this morning, with default options.
Then I purged pulseaudio (because pulseaudio does not work with wine)

extraction from data.frame
Hi,
I extracted from a data.frame (x) of 27 columns a smaller data.frame (x2) with 12 columns whit the following:
x2=x[, c("BROVISINGVal", "CHATVal", "EMAILVal", ..., "Piano.Tariffario")]
Anyway I want to form x2 by extracting all the rows that assume any value for the first 11 columns but a particular value (2) for the last one

Opus hiding lower volume instrument
When experimenting with Opus encoder, I took a random FLAC file, encoded
it, heard it, and heard the original file. When hearing the opus encoded
file, I thought it was a flute solo, but when I heard the original, I
nearly fell off my chain when I noticed the piano I couldn't hear from the
Opus in the first time. Now I know there is a piano, I can hear it in the
Opus file, but it is much

COFF::IMAGE_REL_AMD64_REL32 relocation overflow when compiling for x86_64
Thanks Andy, helpful as always!
1 is a possibility, but not ideal for us.
Could you elaborate a little on 3? I don't really know what a jump stub is,
but am guessing it's a kind of "alternative symbol" which would just act as
a middle man to invoke the "real" symbol in the static library.
If that's the case, I can think of a way to implement it for specific

COFF::IMAGE_REL_AMD64_REL32 relocation overflow when compiling for x86_64
Some time ago I posted here regarding a relocation overflow on Windows
(among other things), but the issue disappeared and so the thread got left.
I've started this new thread because a) I didn't want to necro the old one
and b) it felt like its own.
I've now encountered the issue again and am noting down all the information
I can get about it whilst it's happening.
The issues is

Ogg MIDI proposal
This is a proposal for Ogg MIDI streams. It will also help other
stream additions to Vorbis, as they should follow a similar model.
Ralph has done much of the work on this, and also is working on MNG
Ogg streams.
Background

I was contracted to do this work, so even if you can't think of a use
for this, there is one ;) Basically with midi in Ogg, we can have

Impossible two bugs in Opus
Hello. Me again.
Have you tried to encode piano solo?
Noticed high bitrate Opus gave?
And there's also artefact at 15kHz
which wasn't in the original audio.
