Just a suggestion: Have you tried Gnucash? It is in the EPEL repository, works fine in Centos 7, and is really well done. P.S. - I can not comment on HomeBank, as I haven't used it. I have a test VM that has the CentOS6 CR repo enabled and it recently (well a week or so) started having dependency problems. It's choking on dependencies for ca-cerfificates.
