I've installed 6.4 on an old T30 ThinkPad, and I'm in the midst of setting it up. I can't seem to get an rpm of Pan for it, nor even to do yum update. Mousing around fedoraproject eventually got me to http:// rpmfusion.org/Configuration/ and from there to downloads for the free, nonfree, and epel packages (along with a caveat that tells you -- *after* you've gotten rpmfusion

Trying to specify the "installation source" in the configuration of netinstall for centos 7 (7.1). Three places on the web said mirror.centos.org/centos/7/os/x86_64/ But that configuration page probes, then it says, "Error setting up base repository". What's the magic needed? Well, I gave up, and reinstalled C7. This time, I realized I needed to make a software choice before the install, and did so. My install, yesterday, was a minimal. Silly me, yesterday, after that, I did a groupinstall of KDE Plasma Workspaces... and it did *NOT* include all the dependencies to run KDE. Having installed a KDE desktop, much is better... with one exception: I can't seem to

I installed Centos on some machines that need long term support. I'm running up against some simple user convenience issues. How to play MP3?
