Fwd: CentOS forum search link in http://wiki.centos.org/AdditionalResources/Repositories under Atomic Repo
Maybe I posted this a little late on Friday for anyone to take an interest in suggesting a properly built search URL for the current forum software, so I did some experiments which led to the suggestion added below the copy of the previous post. The repos placed in the "known problem" section are there for a good reason -- they replace base packages by default, or they're poorly maintained, leading to security issues. Or both. Atomic falls squarely into the former category -- it replaces key parts

Atomic Repo links in http://wiki.centos.org/AdditionalResources/Repositories
I'm looking for guidance here. Selecting [http://3es.atomicrocketturtle.com/packages/atomic-release/ atomic-release] returns a 404. In fact, http://3es.atomicrocketturtle.com/packages/ comes back as 404 also. It seems to an inexperienced me, that https://www.atomicorp.com/downloads.html under the anchor <a title="Atomicorp Free RPMS repository"

Did you see this list? http://wiki.centos.org/AdditionalResources/Repositories There are also repos for Adobe (Flash, Reader, et al), Google (Chrome, Earth, et al), and it seems like there used to be one for Oracle's JDK, too. Thanks for the quick and helpful replies. Also, thank you for pointing out that I should have been looking in updates, not os. That makes perfect sense, but I got hung up on the fact that it was missing from os. Anyway, that led to me discovering that on one of my internal mirrors the updates repo hadn?t synced in a couple months, which was ultimately the cause for the missing package in that

openssh-5.3p1-123.el6_9.x86_64.rpm for CESA-2017:2563 not available in mirror.centos.org centos6 repo
The patch for CESA-2017:2563 announced at https://lists.centos.org/pipermail/centos-announce/2017-August/022529.html is only available in the centos 6.9 repo. It is missing for the generic centos-6 repo at http://mirror.centos.org/centos-6/6/os/x86_64/Packages/. Typically this repo contains all the latest patches for the latest minor release, but it's missing the new version of openssh. I

off topic - need help registering to the smplayer forum
Hi All, smplayer has no mailing list. I tried to register at http://forum.smplayer.info/ucp.php?mode=register but the capchas are so incredibly impossible to discern that I gave up after 5 tries. I tried the audio option, but the audio option plays so garbled it is impossible to understand. My audio is great. I play youtube vids with great clarity. So I am hoping someone who is on that forum to

CentOS-Base.repo file for CentOS-4.9 in Vault
All, There have been many people asking for how to do installs now that CentOS-4 has moved past End Of Life. First, I want to tell you that it is VERY dangerous to use CentOS-4 now. There is at least 1 critical (ie, remotely exploitable root) issue on CentOS 4 already: https://access.redhat.com/security/cve/CVE-2012-1182 The number of unpatched critical issues will grow. Using CentOS-4 is
