Thunderbird randomly segfaults at startup
Anyone else seeing this? This is happening on a straight "Desktop" install of CentOS 6.6 fully updated. I have made no changes other than installing Thunderbird. Thunderbird will occasionally (10 to 20% of the time) fail to start, and the abrt report indicates a signal 11 (SIGSEGV). I don't see any other reports of this. Is no one using Thunderbird these days? Do abrt reports

abrt relevance?
I am trying to understand the relevance of the abrt program. It pops up automatically when somethings acts up, but I can't submit anything to RH, because I haven't paid their fees. It is a very bad user experience to go through the whole process of describing what led up to the problem and get to the end of the process and be rejected with an un-fixable error message (because I

CentOS 7 + GNOME : all icon themes broken after update from CR
I did the update from CR, and have some pretty serious issues.? Until I blew away (by mv to a different name) the .local and .config directory trees, I couldn't log in to GNOME at all.? After doing that, I can log in, but if I do any actual work, GNOME crashes, and abrt-cli from root in vc 2 tells me that gnome-shell got a SIGSEGV.?I figure all of the updates aren't in CR yet, so I'm

smbclient Version 4.13.2 Crashes on Fedora 33
Have been working this on the BackupPC users and Fedora mailing lists, but it's looking more like a general problem in Samba utility, 'smbclient.' BackupPC is a backup server package that uses Samba, rsync, and other protocols to backup clients, including Windows PC's. Basically, it runs a command like this for a SMB backup of a PC: /usr/bin/smbclient \\\\new-pelican\\C\$ -U

Thunderbird randomly segfaults at startup
I haven't seen this, but I'm curious if it has something to do with your configuration. What I would suggest trying is working from a clean config. mv ~/.thunderbird ~/.thunderbird.backup Try it like that. If it starts correctly, then it is your config and you'll probably have to recreate your config to make it work. If it doesn't, then rename

subsets, %in%
Hi, I have a question about %in% and subsettin data frames. Say I need to keep ID 1,2,4,5, 10 from the data frame dat. I can do: dat <- data.frame(ID = 1:10, var = 1:10) someID <- c(1,2,4,5,10) subset(dat, dat$ID %in% someID) Is there a quick way to do the opposite, ie to do a subset that contains all ID but someID? Something like %not in%, which would *remove* lines with ID in

Samba+LDAP: NT_STATUS_UNSUCCESSFUL because of primary group SID mismatch
Hi, I'm trying to get my new samba server running for a few days now and I start losing my mind over not figuring out what I'm doing wrong. Here's my setup: OpenLDAP 2.4.21 server with ~15 groups and >100 users, all having a unix and a samba NT password stored in the LDAP as well as a User SID and Primary Group SID assigned and stored in the LDAP, derived from the SID of the LDAP

HTML YAML Builder
Is anyone interested in a YAML Builder for HTML? Some trivial YAML that could be converted to HTML: html: - head: - title: My title - body: - p: - {!id: someId, !class: class1 class2} - Hello - img: {!src: someurl.gif} - hr: - ul: [{!id: someId}, {li: hello}, {li: goodbye}] - ul: - {!style: "height: 30px"} - li: [{!id: first}, First] -

What's up with Firefox/Thundrebird
Hey All, Has anyone had trouble with Firefox/Thunderbird? When I log on if I start Thunderbird first then I can't start Firefox. Clicking on a link in an email fails to start Firefox. If I start Firefox before Thunderbird then hyperlinks in emails open a page in the existing Firefox instance. Other users on this same machine are having the same problems. This has been happening for that

ABRT interpretation / guidance needed
Greetings - I have a Centos 6 box fully updated that intermittently sends me an "[abrt] full crash report" email. I am not familiar with these at all and in my limited google search have not found good information to interpret this information. The most recent (and the most frequent one) is listed below, also I have listed the lines from /var/log/messages that correspond to

Adding an id to form_tag
Hi all, When using form_for it is easy to add an id to the form using :html => {:id => ''someid''} However, how would one accomplish the same when using the form_tag ? Thank you in advance, Schalk --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Ruby on Rails: Talk" group. To post
