residuals: lm and glm
Dear list members,
I would like to know the difference in outputs and calculation processes
between residuals.glm(object, type="response") and residuals.lm(object).
For above-ground biomass estimation of trees, I estimated parameters of
an allometric equation (ln y = b0 + b1*ln x) using glm as follows:
fm <- glm(Ws~log(Wb), family=quasi(link="log",

CentOS position on systems intrusion at Red Hat
Earlier in the day today Red Hat made an announcement [1] that there had been an
intrusion into some of their computer systems last week. In the same
announcement they mention that some of the packages for OpenSSH on RHEL-4 ( i386
and x86_64 ) as well as RHEL-5 ( x86_64 ) were signed by the intruder. In their
announcement they also clarified that they were confident that none of these,

[Fwd: [Fwd: Shared Storage in xVM Opensolaris build 122]]
Hi,
the diskmon issue in RAC 11.2 was a firewall issue. The clusterware is
running OK now
and also the new ACFS (ASM Cluster filesystem) seems to work properly
using a
shared ZFS volume.
Cheers, Marc

[Fwd: Shared Storage in xVM Opensolaris build 122]
Hi,
I double checked the configuration with xm and the "w!" option seems to
be configured :-(
I also upgraded to build 123, but also no change in behaviour. Thus is
this a RAC 11.2
problem or is there a general problem using zvols as as shared disks for
xVM domains ?

[Bug 122] sshd does not update wtmpx at end of session
http://bugzilla.mindrot.org/show_bug.cgi?id=122
------- Additional Comments From tim at multitalents.net 2002-02-25 05:32 -------
I spent some time looking into this. Initially I did see that last was reporting
users still logged in that had logged out of their ssh connection. I noticed
logintest showed everything working as expected. Now I can not duplicate the
problem. I didn't change

Thanks everyone. Indeed, it seems like using the embedded BerkeleyDB-based
AstDB is good enough for what I'm trying to do. However, asterisk barfs on
