Peter, You're missing a -devel package. can''t understand strange PRIO behaviour
Hello everybody, sorry for bothering you, but after some hours, I''m stuck. I''m living in a student''s foundation where I want to connect lots of people to a tiny DSL link. We have exactly four types of traffic. We want a really hard PRIO solution (as I promised to someone that group X will only use the link capacity which isn''t used by group Y). I could make a

conditions for the db4/nptl bug?
Hi *, i run several CentOS4 systems as xen3 domU, and all of them suffer from the well-known-to-this-list db4/nptl bug: <https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=91933> so that i needed to rebuild db4 to make cyrus-imapd work. But a member of the centos devel ML reported that he has no problem at all running cyrus-imapd. Our setups are almost identical (dom0=FC6,

checking package versions in various releases
Hey folks, I am sure there must be an easy way to do this. I am currently running 5.3 and "yum info db4" tells me that they have version 4.3.29. Is that telling me that this is the version in 5.3? Or that this is the latest version in the 5.x stream? If the former, then how do I find out what release of the db4 software (sleepcat berkeley db) is in 5.7? I don't want to

Any chance to get a working, current openldap srpm/rpm for centos 5.5
Hello, is there anyone out there, who has a current 2.4.23 srpm or good how to compile it from src with supported db4? I tried to compile recent source files, but always finding the current (installed) db4 >4.3 fails. Than I tried to compile the LTB Project Files: http://ltb-project.org/wiki/documentation/openldap-rpm May be it is just a small step or option to be set. Would be nice to get

Problems migrating from WBEL
Hi folks: I've recently migrated one of my production servers (bad Jason!) from WBEL to CentOS 3.3 using Donavan's instructions in the FAQ (http://www.centos.org/modules/smartfaq/faq.php?faqid=19). While it was as painless as the document suggests, I've run into problems with postgrey (a postfix greylisting daemon) on my server. Whenever I try to start postgrey, I get the

OT: svn installation tutorial
Hello friendly Rails community, I''m sorry for this OT post, I''ve just switched to Mac and as I see there are so many friendly mac users here, may I ask is there another good/nice Subversion installation tutorial instead of this one: http://developer.apple.com/tools/subversionxcode.html? Is there another way to install it without compiling Subversion by myself? For example via

rpm corruption
I have recently deployed a number of CentOS-3.4 boxes and I am seeing problems with rpm database apparent corruption. db4 errors like DB_PAGE_NOTFOUND. I have found that using LD_ASSUME_KERNEL=2.2.5 seems to fix the problem but I can''t find much info on why or if doing that is good or bad. I have done --rebuilddb but with the LD_ASSUME_KERNEL that might be making thinks worse... I just

Upgrade 3.4 --> 3.7 went awry: rpmdb hosed
I installed CentOS 3.4 from a CD image I'd burned a while ago, and then attempted to update with yum to 3.7. All the packages installed OK, but at the very end of final cleanup I got an error message from db4 saying to "RUN RECOVERY". I did "rpm --rebuilddb" which may have been the wrong thing -- it issued an error about "pages missing". I then ran it again,

Will upgrade from from db4 to libdb break anything?
Hello, I just have a minor question. (Using Fedora 16) My current dovecot (2.2.10) was compiled with db4 (4.8.30). I am thinking of recompiling same dovecot (2.2.10) with libdb (5.2.36). I will be trying on live server so just wanted to know if this will this break any indexing or anything else? (Recompiling for Heartbleed, so might as well switch db version) AM.

Linking against a specific Berkeley DB install
I sent this question to the OpenLDAP list yesterday, but I still haven't seen the message come across the list. I am asking here in the hopes of getting a faster response. I am trying to compile OpenLDAP 2.3.11 from source on CentOS4. I have the rpm for db4-4.2.52-7.1 installed and also a source build of BerkeleyDB in /usr/local/BerkeleyDB.4.4. How do I get OpenLDAP to link with the bdb

summary() of lm() problem (PR#135)
Debuggers, I wrote to r-help about this and was appropriately told off by Peter Dalgaard. I append that mail in case you have not seen it. Following Peter's advice I have attempted to simplify the problem. First note that the following does *not* fail (by which I mean crash, as in generate a memory access violation): > tmp<-matrix(c(1,0,0,1,1,1),2,3) >

Can one write a procedure in R like for instance in Maple ?
Dear R-wizards! I have been learning on my own how to use this fantastic program.. but I agree with some people that even with the manuals, the faq and so on.. when you are sitting fully alone.. progress can be ... slow... very slow indeed.. In fact sometimes, looking at the "solutions" provided by some of you- I am just flabbergasted to the point that I couldn't figure out how to
