Intel igb driver question
Does anyone here know which CentOS release added support for 8086:1521,
some I350 class device? We cannot get it to work under 5.4/igb driver
version 1.3.16-k2. There must have been some major updates since,
5.8 driver is 3.0.6-k2-2 and current is 3.3.6.

Directories recursive deletion problem
Hi all,
We are trying to export RozoFS (a scale out nas, see www.rozofs.org) with
Samba to windows clients, but we're facing a strange behavior.
While every thing sounds good, windows 7 explorer fails to delete
directories recursively.
We create a directories foo/bar on the share, if we suppress foo with the
explorer, bar is suppressed but not foo (do it twice and you're done), on

dear members,
I have a function ygrpc which acts on the daily price increments of a stock. It returns the following values:

Fwd: the same function returning different values when called differently..
Hi Akshay,
(Please include r-help when replying)
You have learned that PFC.NS and snl[[159]] are not identical. Now you have
to figure out why they differ. This could also point to a bug or a logic
error in your program.
Figuring out how two objects differ can be a bit tricky, but with
experience it becomes easier. (Some others may even have some suggestions
for good ways to do it.)

"failed to setup INTx fd: Operation not permitted" error when using PCI passthrough
Hi,
I'm on a Dell VEP 1405 running Debian 9.11 and I'm running a few tests with
various interfaces given in PCI passthrough to a qemu/KVM Virtual Machine
also running Debian 9.11.
I noticed that only one of the four I350 network controllers can be used in
PCI passthrough. The available interfaces are:

NIC Stability Problems Under Xen 4.4 / CentOS 6 / Linux 3.18
I have three different types of CentOS 6 Xen 4.4 based hypervisors (by
hardware) that are experiencing stability issues which I haven't been
able to track down. All three types seem to be having issues with NIC
and/or PCIe. In most cases, the issues are unrecoverable and require a
hard boot to resolve. All have Intel NICs.
Often the systems will remain stable for days or weeks, then

UPS issues with PFC PSU
Just noticed that our new server has a newer 80+ efficiency 865W PSU
with PFC. So apparenty our existing 1500VA (865W) APC Back-UPS is not
safe to use anymore. We apparently need a pure sine wave UPS.
http://nam-en.apc.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/8883
I found an affordable 1500VA UPS by CyberPower, model CP1500PFCLCD,
which has a pure sine wave output.
Wondering if anyone has experience with

Broadcom NetXtreme bcm5720 in the 9.1 beta
Team
I have a Dell PowerEdge R720xd, with the Broadcom NetXtreme bcm5720. I
found the following thread:
http://forums.freebsd.org/showthread.php?t=31769
I find I am unable to use the NIC's (there are 4 on the server). When we
put a cable into it we get a "watchdog timeout -- resetting" error, and
the machine will pause for 5 or so seconds. IP may or may not come up
randomly.

bridge + SR-IOV guests with KVM
Hi,
I managed to get SR-IOV with an Intel I350 NIC to work. For this I
followed the documentation on this page:
https://wiki.libvirt.org/page/Networking#Assignment_from_a_pool_of_SRIOV_VFs_in_a_libvirt_.3Cnetwork.3E_definition
But as I have more VMs then VF on the NIC I also have a bridge wich
serves the other guests. As I run Debian Buster as host I followed the
documentation here:

UEFI/EFI booting and constantly asking for ldlinux.e64
I'm setting up UEFI booting and got to the point of having the system
talk to the dhcpd/tftpd server, grab the first image files
(syslinux.efi) and then continuously request the secondary image file
(ldlinux.e64).
I'm wondering if I'm missing something or if someone can point me in the
right direction of trouble shooting this.
