KVM kernel panic when additional virtio disks added
CentOS-6.6 virt-manager 0.9.0 I have cloned a template server with a 32GB virtio HDD already defined and am attempting to add additional virtio disks. The basic cloned system boots without error. If I create a virtio disk with 32000/32000 megabytes I can add it and the system reboots; providing that I do not first create a partition: fdisk -l /dev/vg_vhost03/lv_vm_inet11.harte-lyne.ca_03

If I open a terminal window and cd to Desktop and type java -jar superbcalc.jar then the applet opens. Does anyone have any idea why I am seeing this behaviour? There are no messages in the syslog file relating

YUM and installing older versions of software.
How does one specify a particular version of a software package to yum to install? Is this even possible? What happens to superceded pacjkages in repos? Are they simple removed/discarded? yum install package-X.Y.Z-A.el5 ??? The reason I ask is if a yum update goes awry for some reason then how does one revert to the previous (working) version? I seem to recall that up2date had a feature

NIC traffic monitoring, recording and reporting software?
I have a remote CentOS-5.3 installation that shares traffic with another enterprise. I want to record and measure the actual network traffic that comes into and goes out of that host's net i/f on a monthly basis for billing verification purposes. Does CentOS have a software package to accomplish this? I have run across references to a package called vnstat as a possible answer to my
