PA-RISC (hppa) video cards init failure loading the device driver kernel module
Dear "nouveau" developers, I know that many very competent guys have already spent a lot of time and efforts on this issue without success. I have started to play with "hppa" two weeks ago and, with the support of the linux-parisc mailing list people, now I have a - almost fully - working workstation (hp c8000). Everythings work perfectly BUT the video card. No matter the

PA-RISC (hppa) video cards init failure loading the device driver kernel module
Dear Ilia, this page summarize all the possible options of the "nouveau" kernel module: https://nouveau.freedesktop.org/wiki/KernelModuleParameters/ I will test the options that you have suggested as soon as possible. Try a PCI video card is a very good advice because the AGP/FX1(chipset) is on the top of the "usual suspects" list; unfortunately the c8000 has 3.3 PCI slots

PA-RISC (hppa) video cards init failure loading the device driver kernel module
Not sure about the radeon issue, but "DRM: GPU lockup - switching to software fbcon" basically means "the CPU isn't able to submit commands, or the GPU isn't executing the commands". Basically the GPU can only have so many commands outstanding [well, command buffers], and we hit that limit. >From what I understand, PA-RISC has a "funny" architecture that

yum causing RPC timed out?
I just installed centos 7, yum is acting strange, experiencing RPC time-outs. Sometimes when I disable the additional repos (epel and rpmforge) it seems to make things act normal. But not this time (see below). Could I have some misconfiguration? Network glitch? What hypotheses should I be considering? Thanks, Dave [root at localhost ~]# yum repolist repo id

Restricting mirrors off a repo
What is the best way to specify which mirrors off a repository you want to use? Have a host with rather restricted egress rules and want to allow it to reach a couple of mirrors for each repo it needs. And, yes, I am not ready to mirror them locally.

I''ve been trying to set up a VGA-passthrough on my Ubuntu 12.04 box to run Windows (for gaming) while leaving my RAID-5 array available (managed by Linux). First, here are the machine specs: CPU: AMD A8-3870K 3.4GHz Quad-Core APU GPU: APU-integrated AMD Radeon 6550 (shared memory) Mobo: ASUS F1A75-V EVO with AMD-virtualization enabled in UEFI-BIOS RAM: 8GB DDR3 1866 G-Skill Sniper

Own CentOS MirrorList
Hi Guys Apologies in advance for the noise. I am interested in setting up my OWN mirrorlist like http://mirrorlist.centos.org/?release=7&arch=x86_64&repo=os&infra=stock where it pulls a few local mirrors, but mine would be statically set with 3 or 4 different location URL's Basically my plan here is, if the closest mirror I operate cannot be reached, it will try another

Bug#755753: xen-hypervisor-4.1-amd64: xen crashes at random
Package: xen-hypervisor-4.1-amd64 Version: 4.1.4-3+deb7u1 Severity: normal Hello, I was running Xen for a few years and after a PSU failure I never got the system working stable again. I suspected damage to the board so I replaced everything in the system piece by piece but Xen enabled kernel always crashes even with only Dom0 running when moderate amount of IO happens on the box. kvm seems

pcieport 0000:00:01.0: PME: Spurious native interrupt (nvidia with nouveau and thunderbolt on thinkpad P73)
Ok, I have an update to this problem. I added the nouveau list because I can't quite tell if the issue is: - the PCIe changes that went in 5.6 I think (or 5.5?), referenced below - a new issue with thunderbold on thinkpad P73, that seems to be triggered if I have a USB-C yubikey in the port. With 5.7, my issues went away if I removed the USB key during boot, showing an interaction
