can't mount an LVM volume inCentos 5.10
I have a degraded raid array (originally raid-10, now only two drives)
that contains an LVM volume. I can see in the appended text that the
Xen domains are there but I don't see how to mount them. No doubt this
is just ignorance on my part but I wonder if anyone would care to
direct me? I want to be able to retrieve dom-0 and one of the dom-Us
to do data recovery, the others are of

i'm not sure that i can help you, i have currently no centos5 vm on xen.
But i guess the warning is from the normal, not xen enabled kernel.
Does /boot/vmlinuz-2.6.18-400.1.1.el5xen

Coming across a problem when using "xm create".
I followed the book called "Professional Xen Virtualization" written by
William von Hagen, and published by Wiley Publishing,Inc.
Here are some configuration files:
#cat /xen/ubuntu/ubuntu.xen3.cfg
kernel = "/boot/vmlinuz-2.6.18-128.1.16.el5xen"
ramdisk = "/boot/initrd-2.6.18-128.1.16.el5xen-no-scsi.img"

converting full to para
virt-p2v was able to convert my centOS 5.2 physical machine to xen virtual
machine and it runs great. Now, I am working on to convert this full virt
machine to para virt .
Under my domU i have installed kernel-xen (since it is needed ) , and edited
my grub menu to use the installed kernel.
My grub menu file in domU looks like:

Crash with XEN 4.0 on Suse 11.3
Hello,
I get a VM crash while trying to load a database. The "smaller" tables
are loading OK, but When I try a bigger one (#3 000 000 rows) the ASCII
dump file is #766 MB. When I try to load that table the machine crash
and I find always the same message in the "qemu....log'' file :
xc_map_foreign_batch: mmap failed: Cannot allocate memory

Migrating from KVM to XEN - kernel panic
First let me say that I'm not a sysadmin, but am simply wearing that hat
this week so please excuse my ignorance. I need to temporarily move some
virtual servers from a CentOS-KVM platform to a CentOS-XEN platform while I
do some upgrades to the CentOS box. I've created a local LV, and used DD
and SCP to transfer the block device from the VKM machine to the XEN
machine. For quite a

You never mentioned if this is for a dom0 or domu, if it's a domu is it
a pv or hvm domain and does it use pvgrub, pygrub or does it boot
directly to a kernel on the dom0?
Also paste the output of this command from the affected domain:

Unable to convert hvm to pv guest
to convert hvm to pv guest, I have followed the direction(
link<http://pastebin.com/f6a5022bf>) in Xen-Users Common Questions
Guide.
It says the first step is "install kernel-xen with correct initrd"
After "yum install kernel-xen" was executed, following errors were showed:

Re: RHEL5 as PVM on RHEL5 xen
Thanks you all guys. I am able to create the RHEL5 PVM on RHEL5 host
successfully. Only thing that i need to add is /mnt/etc/fstab in inintrd

# mkinirtd /boot//boot/initrd-2.6.18-8.el5xenU.img 2.6.18-8.el5xen --fstab
/mnt/
etc/fstab --with xenblk --with xennet --preload xenblk --preload xennet

centOS xen domU kernel
Hi, how can i make actual xen kernel to work under my domU virtual machines?
When i will provide as kernel /boot/vmlinuz-2.6.18-53.1.14.el5xen as ramdisk
/boot/initrd-2.6.18-53.1.14.el5xen.img , it will not work becouse of error
that root device does not exists. And when it is booting it is showing that
raid md0 and my logical volumes does not exists - like those on dom0. I
believe it is becouse

Repetitive Kernel oops (and two smaller questions)
I have an F7 host that''s running the 2.6.20-2925.11.fc7xen 64-bit
kernel on a Dell 2950 using the latest 64-bit Xen packages in F7,
3.1.0-2.f7. I''m trying to install RHEL 5 386 as a guest which I hear
is possible. 64-bit RHEL5 isn''t available to use anyway. When I try
to paravirtualize the install and only utilize 1 CPU, I always get a
kernel oops right before the

yum update success+failure
Just doing "yum update" on two machines (and only two), both centos
5.10, one of them updated something like 22 packages, the other just 4.
Packages which were updated on the first, but didn't get updated on
the second machine include: gcc, httpd, kernel-2.6.18-398.el5, and
probably a couple more. Trying the update on the second machine again
(a few times), it always ends,

Current pxelinux always unloads undi driver
Good day,
I have the problem to pass the ?loaded? undi driver to the next bootloader.
In current pxelinux
?lernel memdisk keeppxe harddisk raw initrd::parh_to_img?
always unloads undi before memdisk (or other kernel) takes control.
After many tries I found that the keeppxe feature is broken starting from
version 6.03 pre 9.
I tried to find the reason by comparing sources 6.03 pre 8 / 6.03

CentOS 5.1 and Xen - mount: could not find filesystem ''/dev/root''
Hi all-
I''m hoping someone can help me with this problem with Xen under CentOS
5.1 (RHEL 5.1) I''m having... This is the Xen package that comes stock
with the distribution, I didn''t compile it from source. I can boot
Domain0 and the hypervisor just fine. I''m trying to bring up a Xen
guest VM and it crashes on boot, with this error:

IOwaits over NFS
Hello.
We have a number of Xen 3.4.2. boxes which have constant iowaits at around
10% with spikes up to 100% when accessing data over NFS. We have been
unable to nail down the issue. Any advice?

xennet and xenblk
Dear Fellow Xen Users:
I am as green as grass and trying
to install Xen 3.1.0 on to a brand new machine running SuSE 10.3. I am
at the point where Xen starts to boot and quits on a "Waiting for
device......./dev/sda5" message. I believe that this may be related to
the fact that xennet and xenblk are missing, as far as I can tell, from
my
