PHP version not enough for developers
Hi, So, it seems that the current version of PHP in Centos 7 is PHP 5.4.16 however this version of PHP stopped getting security support from the PHP people one month ago [1]. Now, our developers want to use the new and shiny PHP because they want to use the latest version of Zend. They are proposing using this package [2] but I never heard of this repo. Other than building the packages

Newer Rsyslog than in distro
Hello, I am just starting work on a project that is going to require a recent (ie version 4 or 5) rsyslog. The distro has 2.0. KB - I think you have a 3.x kicking about, but it's not on cko - any idea how much work it would be to adapt your spec to version 4 or 5? Rawhide seems to have a 4.x package, so I could start from there if there's no other options available. Anyone else using

Installing 32-bit CentOS 6 on a new Lenovo System x3650 M5 server?
Is there any known incompatibility with the latest 32-bit (i386) CentOS 6 and the latest Lenovo x3650 M5 servers? I?ve been running i386 CentOS 6.X on 3 year old x3650 M4 servers without any issues. Our development environment has not been ported to 64-bit (x86_64) yet, so we are stuck using i386 for another few months. When I try to boot from the netinstall ISO image I just get a ?Boot Failed?

CentOS 5.6 PHP 5.3 and SquirrelMail
OK, so I did an upgrade to PHP 5.3 on one of my servers. I noticed the uninstall of php also removed SquirrelMail and it won't install under PHP 5.3. Has anybody worked this out with a good RPM or repo solution? -- John Hinton 877-777-1407 ext 502 http://www.ew3d.com Comprehensive Online Solutions

Configuring sendmail in a corporate environment
I have a stock CentOS 5 system as far as email (sendmail) is concerned that is on our corporate LAN. I am not trying to set up a mail server; I merely want our CentOS systems to be able to send out emails. This works as long as the recipient's domain is our local domain. Any email send to recipients that are not in our local domain get stuck in the queue: # mailq
