How to configure xguest Firefox home page
I've installed CentOS 6.6 on a workstation at a local non-profit as a kiosk machine. I used xguest. Works great, except now the customer wants the Firefox homepage to be one pointing to a particular site. Doesn't seem to be much documentation on how to make minor changes to the account. Lots of SELinux guidance, but nothing about default home page, etc. Dave

How to configure xguest Firefox home page
Somewhat offtopic, watch out for xguest; it can create problems. I.e. if you logout from xguest you can't log back in, you need to reboot. Firefox 3, Sun jre1.6.0_12_x86_64 and enabling a plugin
SOMEbody on this list must have this combination working by now. How does one enable the firefox jre plugin for Sun's x86_64 distribution? Every site that I can find refers to making a link to a now non-existent plugins directory under the jre installation directory. The official firefox plugin pages refers to the existence of a Sun x86_64 jre but provides no details on how to enable it.

Howto: Java Plugin for Firefox 3.0.1?
Can anyone here give me the magic decoder ring recipe for getting jre "plugged" into Firefox 3.0.1? The plugins directory is gone and the Firefox FAQ regarding this issue cryptically mentions that plugin support has been dropped. It then points one to a early adopter SUN jre1.6-10 page that has innumerable dependencies which my version of CentOS-5.2 does not meet. Firefox 3.0.0 had a

Can one invoke multiple INSTANCEs of Firefox on CentOS
I am doing some testing with XForms and I really need a separate instance of Firefox, one that shares nothing with my primary instance that has various reference works and web sites open, to test forms. Is this even possible? I have a sense from the small bit of testing that I have done that even with separate profiles and invoking the firefox process manually from different terminal windows

Firefox-31 STARTTLS cipher strengh degraded?
Has anyone else experienced a degraded symmetric key exchange when using FF-31 vice FF24? When I use FF24 then I get a symmetric type of AES-256 (Very Strong) rating in Calomel 0.62. When I switch to FF31 and connect to exactly the same server host and url then in Calomel 0.62 I see this instead: TLS_DHE_RSA_WITH_AES_256_CBC_SHA (Very Weak). I am not altering any of the configuration options
