Winbind crash on startup with Win 2K3 sp1 domain controller.
Having migrated from NT 4 I am trying to re-install a number of machines
to our New Win 2K3 SP1 Domain.
Most machines are Suse 9.1, running heimdal 0.6.1rc3, samba 3.0.14a
(rpm from samba site).
I can get kinit to work, get net ads join to work (eventually) net ads
testjoin looks ok, and net ads user shows the active directory users.
However winbind crashes at start up.

Yum strangeness
Hi all,
I was about to do an update on my server, but looking at what the
output was and here's the output from the beginning with other parts
left off. I currently don't even have the clamav server installed, but
am using the 0.93 version of clamav-milter.
I've never seen yum throw in so many packages that aren't even
installed. I understand the dependencies has to be

Bind update overwrites named.conf
I just had a customer's bind server lose all of it's local DNS
records. Yum updated the bind packages this morning at ~6am, and
replaced the original /etc/named.conf file, saving the old as
named.conf.rpmsave. This seems like the opposite of what it should
have done (i.e. save the new file as named.conf.rpmnew). There does
not appear to be any difference between the originally shipped

Updated bind marked as vulnerable
Hi,
I have a Centos 4.6 machine that even tough has been updated with the latest
bind 9.2.4-28.0.1.el4 is marked as vulnerable by
https://www.dns-oarc.net/oarc/services/dnsentropy.
I have another machine which also uses that same distro and is not.
Do I have to do any other update?
