Upcoming changes to downloading AltArch .iso images
Hi, this notice is for those who employ some sort of an automation to
download AltArch (ie. aarch64, armhfp, i386, power9, ppc64, ppc64le)
CentOS 7 .iso/.raw.xz images from mirror.centos.org. Those using a
regular browser to download these images are not particularly affected,
and you can continue to the next message.
Previously, only main architecture .iso image downloads from

Checksums in Distribution Directories
Folks
While trying to automate a download of the ISO files, I ran into
inconsistencies with the method of checksums. I was trying to use
the checksum values to validate my download.
At least in one mirror (mirrors.sonic.net):
Centos 7 uses a file called sha256sum.txt containing:

Combining CentOS 6.1 DVD images
I would like to create a single installation directory from the DVD1 and DVD2 CentOS 6.1 release DVD images, suitable for network (NFS) installation.
If I mount each of the ISO images and copy their files to a single directory, will that work? That is, are the files on each DVD unique such that I won't be overwriting any files from DVD1 when doing the DVD2 copy?

dd iso to flash drive
I?ve been trying to get the dd of an iso to a usb flash drive to work for CentOS 6.7. It is working with the CentOS 7 DVD1 iso (x64), but if I use the same process with 6.7 bin dvd1 iso or the 6.7 live dvd, the flash drive will not boot. I thought 6.x and forward could be done like this.

Downloaded 6.8 DVD1.iso, dd to stick. Went through same selections
I have gone through since 6.2, only this time it got to the end and
