Splitting the container pipeline page in the wiki

hi Bama
since there are other things going on in the container space around
centos, I was thinking maybe we can setup a /Container page, and then
have a /Container/Registry and a /Container/Pipeline page each. the
pipeline page can talk about the service, code and run setup. and the
registry page can talk

Container Pipeline placeholder
Hi,
I've created http://wiki.centos.org/ContainerPipleline as a placeholder
to start populating about the pipeline. Although this will run from
ci.centos.org hosted infra ( http://wiki.centos.org/QaWiki/CI ) - and it
will form a sort of ecocystem test + release process, I think it
deserves scope beyond being just under the CI namespace.

https://wiki.centos.org/ContainerPipeline edit group
hi guys,
we've got more and more people who need edit rights to this page, at
https://wiki.centos.org/ContainerPipeline - is it worth doing a
ContainerEngGroup and make that group own this page instead of adding
usernames to the page itself ?
Regards,

[DISCUSS] Wiki page for centos atomic registry
Hi,
As per discussion in CCCP (Centos Community Container Pipeline)
project, it was recommended to create a wiki page for "Atomic Registry" on
wiki.centos.org. I am therefore requesting a creation of the same,
along-with a homepage.
I am not decided as to where in the wiki (location) of the proposed page
will be, and am there looking out for suggestions.

Quota, maildir, MySQL,
Hi everybody,
I am trying to work with quota. I use postfix and dovecot with a sql
backend. Below you'll find my configuration. Everything works except for
the quota part. It doesn't seem to see the quota and doesn't respond to
the sender that the client is over its quota.
versions:
postfix-2.5.20070531-mysql
dovecot-1.0.2-mysql
Thanks for the help in advance.

Ruby at O''Reilly Rough Cuts
Not sure if this is old news or not, but it would appear that both the
Ruby Cookbook and a Rails book are now available for purchase at
O''Reilly Rough Cuts (something akin to PragProg''s beta book program):

I haven''t tried them yet, but it definitely seems worth checking out.

Article for wiki consideration
I've recently documented simple use of a VServer with CentOS host and
guest. toracat@ said that it might be worthwhile putting on the wiki.
The present article is located at
http://home.nyc.rr.com/computertaijutsu/vserver.html
If it does get to the wiki, I would remove the fedora section and also
add a notice at the beginning of the article with dire warnings about
using a non-stock kernel.

Accessing Windows shares - mini HowTo
On the CentOS mailing list and Forums, I occasionally see questions
relating to accessing Windows shares. Thought I could share my notes
on this subject which I put together on a web page:
http://toracat.freeshell.org/centos/HowToAccessWin.html
It is a short practical guide. I would appreciate receiving comments
and suggestions.

Proposal: GDM login tips & tricks entry
Hi,
I propose to create an entry in Tips and Tricks - 5. Admin tricks and shell one-liners describing how to disable the user list in the GDM graphical login. I would draw on the info posted in this blog entry

5.2 driver for Marvell Yukon 88E8042 PCI-E Fast Ethernet controller
Hello,
I'm trying to install CentOS 5.2 on an HP 6730s notebook.
All's going well except for one little item -- the networking. Never
thought I'd have trouble with an Ethernet adapter, so I didn't even
check before buying this machine; it was cheap.
The adapter is a Marvell Yukon 88E8042 PCI-E Fast Ethernet controller. I
can't find a Linux driver for it except one that

About the article OS_Protection by JimPerrin
Evolution (aka JimPerrin - or is this the other way around?) has been
working on this excellent wiki article:
http://wiki.centos.org/HowTos/OS_Protection
However, the discussion is taking place at his own blog site
http://www.bofh-hunter.com/ . Because this is a CentOS wiki article,
I just wonder why we cannot do it here. Sure, his blog site may
collect a wider audience, but we traditionally

We have CentOS Forums here:

Akemi Yagi (toracat on IRC) and Fabian Arrotin (arrfab on IRC) are the
Forum Moderators.
There are a lot of posts there that I find helpful when doing web
searches ... but we could use more people answering questions there.
Also, we specifically need some people to answer questions concerning

System beeps in kernel 2.6.18-194
So, just today I noticed a problem with kernel 2.6.18-194 (CentOS 5.5) on several Intel DP965LT systems; the system beeps (such as terminal beeps) are no longer passed through to the external speakers. This is a problem because in our situation the boxes are distant from their monitor/keyboard, the system speaker on this motherboard is extremely weak, and there are no system speaker header pins

Centos bug 15570 - Not just a VBOX bug, can also reproduce on direct hardware install
Ran into this rather frustrating bug when working with VBOX on a Windows 10
host. It should come as no surprise that I would hit this bug when
installing CentOS, and also with RHEL 7 Server with GUI (since you get the
same kernel). Based on information from your bug list, I was fortunately
able to workaround the trouble with:

Marvell Yukon 8056?
Greetings list-
I''ve got a server ''in the mail'' and I see now on the specsheet that it has Marvell Yukon 8056 NICs onboard. Since I cannot seem to find a HCL for Centos 5 or RHEL5 to help verify, I''d like to know if it works ''out of the box'' on CentOS 5.x or is there additional work to make it function (properly)?
My searching has revealed
