Documentation SIG: Participation wanted
Hi, folks, I've been working through the CentOS wiki for more than a year now, trying to identify and fix outdated/wrong/obsolete content. It's a daunting task, and I'm losing. I would very much like to gather a group of people who are: * Knowledgeable about CentOS * Good with words * Have a little time who would be willing and able to review the content of the wiki, and fix the

CentOS Linux 8, as a rebuild of RHEL 8, will end at the end of 2021. CentOS Stream continues after that date, serving as the upstream (development) branch of Red

Flac and SourceForge
Hi, I'm Rich Bowen, the Community Manager at SourceForge. I was just chatting with Fingolfin on IRC about the state of the Flac project, and I wanted to let you know that I've jumped into the fray. As Community Manager, I'm interested in the health of projects, and I spend a lot of time looking at projects like Flac that still get huge numbers of downloads, but haven't cut a

Do you blog about CentOS?
Do you blog about CentOS? Or about Linux in general? We need your voice. As mentioned on https://blog.centos.org/2018/04/seven-centos-org-is-dead-long-life-to-blog-centos-org/ this morning, authentication for blog.centos.org is tied to accounts.centos.org (through OpenID). So if you have a CentOS account, you have an account on the blog server. We would love to have your articles there -

Intro and request to edit
Hi, folks, I'm Rich Bowen, and I work with the OSAS (Open Source and Standards) group at Red Hat, as a community guy for OpenStack. In my other life, I've been on the documentation team for the Apache httpd project for a few years, so I like to think I can write coherently. ;-) I'd like to request edit privs on the CentOS wiki. In particular, I wanted to make edits to the page
