Wiki request
Hi. I've already spoken with Jim Perrin about this and he's fine with it; confirm with him if need be. May I please have edit rights to http://wiki.centos.org/irc to: 1) correct a typo 2) point people to the proper documentation on how to register a nick, including sasl auth and ssl via the official Freenode documentation. 3) whatever further maintenance is needed now or in the

contrib repository not mentioned on AdditionalResources/Repositories
The 'contrib' repository is mentioned on FAQ/General #13: http://wiki.centos.org/FAQ/General#head-92ba307b036080a16dbffa44486cde25c081fcca but not on the AdditionalResources/Repositories page: http://wiki.centos.org/AdditionalResources/Repositories

raw text Access for http://wiki.centos.org/AdditionalResources/Repositories, Please.
I would like to be given sufficient access to http://wiki.centos.org/AdditionalResources/Repositories that I may copy the raw text to a SubPage of my HomePage. I propose to edit the links on that SubPage and submit it for review by anyone who may have sufficient knowledge to validate my changes. I have yet to work with the RPM Package Manager, so I will be making edits that need to be reviewed

SerNet link in http://wiki.centos.org/AdditionalResources/Repositories
SerNet has en pages on their site: http://www.SerNet.de/en/samba/ Since I am maintaining the base (en) page page of http://wiki.centos.org/AdditionalResources/Repositories shouldn't the en SerNet home page be the reference in the SerNet paragraph? -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... Patrick, looks fine to me. Thanks for the work -- when I did a major revision I tried to remove some of the rot and got tired of trying, along with refactoring the page in general. Your dedication is appreciated. On Mon, Jan 5, 2015 at 11:34 AM, PatrickD Garvey <patrickdgarveyt at gmail.com> wrote: > Could someone please replace the contents of >

raw text Access for http://wiki.centos.org/AdditionalResources/Repositories, Please.
Oops, I copied the page with the acl of the original page, which, of course, means I can't edit it. Lesson learned, I hope. Could you please fix the acl so I may proceed with my edit? Sorry to be such a bother. I'm more used to working on Wikimedia wiki's. My MoinMoin skills are rusty. On Tue, Dec 9, 2014 at 1:28 PM, PatrickD Garvey <patrickdgarveyt at gmail.com> wrote: >

GhettoForge links in http://wiki.centos.org/AdditionalResources/Repositories
GhettoForge seems to be using new software for their wiki. http://GhettoForge.org/ redirects to http://GhettoForge.org/index.php/Main_Page which is probably adequate. http://GhettoForge.org/wiki/Usage returns a 404. It appears http://GhettoForge.org/index.php/Usage is the replacement. I will make the appropriate change in my copy of http://wiki.centos.org/AdditionalResources/Repositories. Also

Trinity Desktop Environment links in http://wiki.centos.org/AdditionalResources/Repositories
Trinity Desktop Environment seems to have started using a wiki. The information that may have been at http://www.TrinityDesktop.org/installation.php#redhat now seems to be at https://wiki.trinitydesktop.org/RedHat_Trinity_Repository_Installation_Instructions The other links seem to work as is. I will make the appropriate change in my copy of

Small correction in CentOSPlus (AdditionalResources/Repositories/CentOSPlus)
Hi, Small correction there. Example 4 of section 2 (how to use XFS with CentOSPlus kernel) says you should use this configuration line in [centosplus] section of yum: includepkgs=kernel* xfs* dmapi* However, the XFS module's package name is kmod-xfs*, so I believe it should actually be: includepkgs=kernel* kmod-xfs* xfs* dmapi* I did this on a system of mine, and in the first case it did

Atomic Repo links in http://wiki.centos.org/AdditionalResources/Repositories
I'm looking for guidance here. Selecting [http://3es.atomicrocketturtle.com/packages/atomic-release/ atomic-release] returns a 404. In fact, http://3es.atomicrocketturtle.com/packages/ comes back as 404 also. It seems to an inexperienced me, that https://www.atomicorp.com/downloads.html under the anchor <a title="Atomicorp Free RPMS repository"

Fwd: CentOS forum search link in http://wiki.centos.org/AdditionalResources/Repositories under Atomic Repo
Maybe I posted this a little late on Friday for anyone to take an interest in suggesting a properly built search URL for the current forum software, so I did some experiments which led to the suggestion added below the copy of the previous post.
