dead links and request for home page
Hi Akemi, Thanks for the home page. I made the two corrections mentioned earlier and then one for the road (changed "irsii" to "irssi"). Didn't catch it the first time around, since I thought it was a new fork or similar. I couldn't find it with google though, so I deduced it to be a typo. All went smoothly. OpenSSL on CentOS 3.4?
I'm running a CentOS 3.4 box. According to yum, the OpenSSL 0.9.7a-33.15 package I have installed is the latest available. A check of the OpenSSL website shows 0.9.7g source being the latest. Is the CentOS 0.9.7a package patched to cover the same isues that the generic 0.9.7 source covers? If not, what's my recourse? Build it by hand? If I need to build it, has anybody crossed that

Centos 3 samba upgrade
I want to upgrade my samba installation from 3.0.9-1.3E.3 to 3.0.20 without breaking anything along the way :) Any suggestions about order of installation? It looks like I will have to nodeps at least some of the packages. I have everything working with our AD environment so I don't want to disturb it if possible. Thanks in advance, Chuck

Openssh and CentOS
I would like to know why the version of openssh used in Centos4.4 is based on version 3.9p1 but not on a more recent version of openssh? The vulnerabilities found and corrected in the last version of openssh are also corrected in version 3.9? -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... URL:

[PATCH] drm/nouveau/acpi: use DSM if bridge does not support D3cold
Even if PR3 support is available on the bridge, it will not be used if the PCI layer considers it unavailable (i.e. on all laptops from 2013 and 2014). Ensure that this condition is checked to allow a fallback to the Optimus DSM for device poweroff. Initially I wanted to call pci_d3cold_enable before checking bridge_d3 (in case the user changed d3cold_allowed), but that is such an unlikely case

Moving emails tagged as spam to the Junk folder
?I am running Ubuntu 16.04. I am following this guide: https://wiki2.dovecot.org/HowTo/AntispamWithSieve. At the end when I try to compile the .sieve files, I get this error: sievec(root): Fatal: Plugin 'sieve_imapsieve' not found from directory /usr/lib/dovecot/modules/sieve.? Does anyone know about this? I have dovecot-sieve installed and I'm using Postfix and Spamassassin. --

External journal on flash drive
Hi, I'd like to use a flash drive as a journal device, with the purpose of keeping the main disk drive spun down as long as possible. I have a couple of questions: 1) Does the journaling code spread write accesses to the journal device evenly, as I hope, or are there blocks that are particularly "hot"? I.e., do I have to worry about the flash device dying quickly because of

openSSH 4.3 p2 rpm help please!
All, I have a CentOS 4 system I need to update OpenSSH on. Most of my experience has been on slackware and I am new to using yum and packages. I ran yum and it tells me that my current installed version is 3.9 patch level 1. It also said that there are no updates for it. I did a google for it but every link I saw that seemed to point to info about an rpm for 4.3 came up not found. Is there a
