Fix typo to CentosPackager page in HowTos section
Hi, I don't know what your email refers to. My problem is that Centos doesn't run when it has installed and so, having tried several times, I installed and tried Zorrin and then Ubuntu. Both these OS worked well and I'm now using Ubuntu. Is there any way to get Centos to run? I'd be interested. Thanks, Bob ________________________________ From: centos-docs-bounces at

Creating a Model Matrix - keeping NAs
I am wanting to create a model matrix and keep the NAs. stratmat <- model.matrix(myformula, mydata) Is there any way to do this? model.matrix doesn't have na.action as a parameter. Elsewhere I have made use of na.keep <- function(x){x}. Many thanks, Rachel Cunliffe -.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.- r-help mailing list -- Read

windows() options
Hi Just noticed that the windows() function doesn't seem to allow for decimals in the width and height options. For example, typing: > windows(5,4,10) > windows(5.2,4,10) > windows(5.4,4.3,10) produces three equally sized windows. Is there a way to get around this and create more accurately sized windows without having to resize by hand? Thanks Rachel Cunliffe Department of

How do you exit a function in R?
For example, based on a certain condition, I may want to exit my code early: # Are there the same number of assets in "prices" and "positions"? if (nAssetPositions != nAssetPrices) { cat("Different number of assets! \n\n") <exit function> } I have searched, but not

Fix typo to CentosPackager page in HowTos section
Hi, Current page[0] contain a typo under "Generating your user certificate" section. If you check Usage of centos-cert tool it mention " -n, --new-cert Generate a new Fedora Certificate" instead " -n, --new-cert Generate a new CentOS Certificate". It would be nice if someone fix that typo or provide me edit permission to do so.

Pulling columns out of a data.frame
Hi there Probably a very simple solution to this problem. I have a character vector eg c("name1","name2","name3") and I want to pull out these columns from a data.frame, converting each of these columns into factors also. loading printers
I just configured a server to use the CUPS printing system and have all my printers shared out by Samba. I made all the necessary changes to the smb.conf file but don't want to restart samba in the middle of the day since it is a high traffic server and don't want to break connections. Is there a way to just have samba load all these printers without restarting the service????

Camping-Omnibus Doesn''t Work With Ruby v1.8.6
I''ve noticed that the copy of Mongrel installed by the camping-omnibus gem doesn''t work with Ruby 1.8.6. Or to be more specific, cgi_multipart_eof_fix (which Mongrel is dependent upon) doesn''t work: > $ sudo gem install mongrel --source http://code.whytheluckystiff.net > > ERROR: Error installing mongrel: > cgi_multipart_eof_fix requires Ruby version

REPOST: queuepause/queueresume and w2k machines, won' t work
[Shane Drinkwater] Daniel, I have the same probelm. These are the steps I did in a previous thread... Jim, I think I found another bug... I really seem to be in printer hell :(.... I found that windows 2k doesn't update its status "ready" or "paused" when used with samba. Here is what I did... 1.) enable all of the lpr/lpd queues. check em' with lpq... 2.)

[LLVMdev] Undefined symbol when loading pass
Hi, I have written a pass to compute the reaching definitions for variables using loads and stores. The class for this pass is named ReachingDef and the pass itself is registered as reaching-def. The compiled reaching-def.so file goes to llvm-home/Release/lib/. This pass is used by another function pass that is registered as iel and the class is named SIL. I have setup AnalysisUsage object of SIL

Digest reading is tedious
Like many, I am sure, I get R-Help in digest form. Its easy enough to browse the subject lines, but then if an entry interests you, you have to embark on this tedious search or scroll to find it. It would be great to have a "clickable" digest, where the topics list is a set of pointers, and clicking on a topic takes you to that entry. I can think of at least one way to do this via
