Fix typo to CentosPackager page in HowTos section
Hi, I don't know what your email refers to. My problem is that Centos doesn't run when it has installed and so, having tried several times, I installed and tried Zorrin and then Ubuntu. Both these OS worked well and I'm now using Ubuntu. Is there any way to get Centos to run? I'd be interested. Thanks, Bob ________________________________ From: centos-docs-bounces at

Centos doesn't load or work
I've tried Zorrin, Ubuntu and Centos. Zorrin and Ubuntu work fine, but Centos doesn't load, or run. I asked for advice, didn't get any and seem to have been added to all your Centos mailing lists. Please remove me from your mailing lists. Sincerely, Bob Cunliffe -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... URL:

Typo in HowTos/RebuildSRPM
Dear all, The title of the last section on "HowTos/RebuildSRPM" probably should read: Install the SRPM and then Build the Specfile instead of: Install the RPM and then Build the Specfile Since the content of that section is about installing staff from a SRPM. Possible typo in "HowTos/Disk_Optimization"
Dear all, In "HowTos/Disk_Optimization", the calculated value of stride size and stripe width appears to have the "K" suffix incorrectly appended to them. Eg: * (64K/4K) = 16K * (3*16K) = 48K * (16K+16K) = 32K The values provided on the mkfs.ext3 command line however, do drop the "K" suffix. I'm no expert on RAID, but the "K" suffixes

Typo in "HowTos/PXE/Gparted_PXE"
Dear all, Inside the "HowTos/PXE/Gparted_PXE" wiki document, the "tftproot" directory should be "tftpboot", and the hyphens could be removed in the following line: Add the following lines to the pxelinux-configuration-file (/tftproot/pxelinux.cfg/default by default) Regards, Timothy Lee

typo in R-exts.html section 6.9
I agree, and the text is less than ideal in several other places. But I don't especially like your phrase 'infinite range', even though the idea is right. I think the necessary terminology already exists. How about something like this? There are interfaces (defined in header R_ext/Applic.h) for definite ("proper") and for _improper_ integrals, improper meaning that at

Typo in C++11 Section of Writing R Extensions
Hi, I was reading through the R extensions website and noticed that the example code at the end of the section makes references to CXX11XSTD and CXX11XFLAGS, shouldn?t these be CXX1XSTD and CXX1XFLAGS respectfully? (on the second and fourth line) CXX1X=`"${R_HOME}/bin/R" CMD config CXX11X` CXX1XSTD=`"${R_HOME}/bin/R" CMD config CXX11XSTD` CXX="$(CXX1X) $(CXX1XSTD)"

Sending git changes on the centos-docs for centos.org website
Hi, Just to let you know that we decided to send all the git notifications to the centos-docs list for the centos.org website. The git repository is hosted on https://git.centos.org/summary/?r=websites/centos.org.git (will be open soon) It's low-traffic, so centos-docs list will not receive a huge amount of notifications, but at least some people on the list will get notification when a git

Mate-update breaks locale
Hello All, today's Mate-updates seem to have removed our nl_be locale. We run Mate desktop on some 15 Centos7 laptops. Not so big a deal, we can easily switch to nl_nl or people would still figure it out in English. But maybe for other, not so common locales, you might want to check before updating. Greetings, Johan

typo in R-exts.html section 6.9
In 'Writing R Extensions' section 6.9 there is the paragraph There are interfaces (defined in header R_ext/Applic.h) for definite and for indefinite integrals. ?Indefinite? means that at least one of the integration boundaries is not finite. An indefinite integral usually means an antiderivative, not an integral over an infinite spread. Should that first sentence end with 'for

Update documentation references
Hi, In URL: https://www.centos.org/docs/5/ there's only the references up to version 5. Since all the references are from docs of redhat enterprise Linux, how about updating to the current release such references? How can I do it? Where to send a pull request, for example? Where can I add content to the main page and other sectors, links? -- *Vitor Lobo* Analista de Sistemas Jr. LEMAF -

Strange issue with CentOS7 on XenServer
