HELP! can't see Unix printer shares
I'm trying to use Samba to get access to my Unix printer. Unix System is FreeBSD-2.2-stable, and I'm running the latest port of Samba for FreeBSD-2.2-stable (Samba 2.0.0) from ftp.freebsd.org. I've checked all the references I can find on the web, and can't see the problem. Can anyone point out what I'm doing wrong. Under NT (adding remote printer), I see the entry for the

Terrible, horrible firewall issues in * to * setup
My mission is to get one * box to dial another * box' extensions. I have set this up previously without any issues by making a simple IAX trunk/extension pair on the two boxes and create a dial plan with a prefix like 9|XXX to select an extension on the other box. My problem is that I now have to do this with extremely restrictive firewalls thrown into the mix - firewalls I have no control

sshd (openssh 3.7.1p1) dies during login on Solaris 8 system with SRM installed
I have compiled ssh 3.7.1p1 using gcc and am trying to get it to run on our Solaris 8 systems running Sun's SRM system. With existing users it is fine, but with a new user, the user can not ssh in on the first login, they get the message from SRM that no lnode has been created. I put sshd in debug and found that it SEG's here: debug3: mm_sshpam_free_ctx: waiting for

How to document man/*.Rd pages with images?
Hi, I?m trying to figure out how to put images into my package?s help documentation. I?ve gotten to the point where I can put the images in the /inst/doc/ directory. I have also gotten to the point where I have package checks without any warnings. I couldn?t find the terms ?picture,? ?image,? or ?graphic? in a text search within the Writing R Extensions: 2 Writing R documentation files

RE:u32 filters and compression
Thanks: To Stef and Tobias Geiger for giving me the answer. I used the prio to get the order right. Don't know why I did'nt think of it myself. Compression: Another thing that might be useful to the list is the use of compression (Deflate etc.) to get better bandwidth across links. This requires a Linux router at both ends of the link. I got the idea from a product called Peribit see

[PATCH] scp -S support
[Please Cc: me, I'm not on the list] fsh (http://www.lysator.liu.se/fsh/) is a program that keeps an ssh tunnel open and multiplexes multiple batch sessions through that single connection, avoiding slower public key crypto for things like cvs. fsh includes an utility called fcp that can multiplex file copies through this single connection. It relies on scp for the actual file copying,

Icecast Logs Timestamp in UTC
Hello, I'm having a major problem with the timestamps in both the Icecast access.log and error.log. The timestamp on the logfiles themselves is accurate, but the logging of the various connections to my streams is in UTC. No matter how I try to configure the hwclock or the system clock, the log timestamp is always UTC, which is 8 hours ahead of my current time zone. I've even tried

CentOS-4/alpha 4.1beta is there to play
Hi, I've always been kind of on/off with alpha. Remember making some kind of debian/alpha installer back -97ish. Lately (like past 2 years), i've been compiling SRPMS on alpha too from time to time. Most of my alpha hardware was pretty much ancient crap, so i wasn't quite confident pushing anything out to public as i wasn't able to test even if EV6 would be ok. Little over week

MSDFS redirection WinXP SP2
I am currently having problems accesing our samba msdfs shares from Windows XP SP2, Windows 2000 and WinXP SP1 seem unaffected. I have attached the smb.conf and the exports files that define the shares. Running ethereal on the different clients seems to point to the fact that XP SP2 no longer seems to be using the netbios-ssn (139) port. for GET_DFS_REFERRAL instead its using microsoft-ds

CentOS, laptop & DLP
I have an old Toshiba Tecra 8100 that I run CentOS on - it's running 5.3 although not completely up to date at the moment. About a year ago, a club I help administer bought a BenQ DLP so we could show movies and do other projector things more easily than lugging around a 27" TV set. It worked just fine, but the behavior of the system with it has changed over the year and I'm curious

Questions about image link file and CUE sheet
I would like to be able to select which tracks I like to play from cdimage-file. So I mean that if I have some flac-file with CUE-data and I like to make playlist for winamp with tracks 1, 3 and 7. How I can do that? With image link files this would be easy, just select link files 1, 3 and 7. Is winamp plug-in having any features for CUE-sheet?

maybe wrong english words are being used? I have a feeling that the default settings are at fault here, in the .xml file, there is a line that has to be uncommented so that the server starts. I?m only a newbie, but have a feeling this could be his ?newbie? problem if am wrong, i will put my beer down and go off to bed..... From: Justin Bergers Sent: Friday, October 23, 2015 9:46 PM To:

[LLVMdev] infinite number of virtual registers - sorry, modified.
Hello. I am making a backend for a virtual machine. But it does assume infinite number of virtual registers unlike those of usual machines. In this case, how can I implement this? Would you mind telling me some tips? Thank you so much. Seung Jae Lee
