Joining the SIG - oVirt project
Hi,
I just joined the CentOS-virt call yesterday for the first time and it was a pleasure to meet you there.
My name is Sandro Bonazzola[1] and I'm a member of the integration team and the release engineering manager for oVirt project[2].
oVirt is an open source alternative to VMware vSphere, and provides an excellent KVM management interface for multi-node virtualization.

libvirtd for el7
Hi,
I see that for EL6 gwd already has pushed a libvirtd package with version 1.2.10[1].
I got request from VDSM development to provide libvirt >= 1.2.9 for EL7 for oVirt 3.6.
gwd, do you just rebuilt http://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/buildinfo?buildID=594825 ?
I'm looking at http://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/buildinfo?buildID=628689 may this work for you?

Differences between qemu-kvm and qemu-kvm-ev
Sandro,
Could you please enumerate the actual technical differences between stock qemu-kvm and qemu-kvm-ev?
For example, what could one do with qemu-kvm-ev that cannot with qemu-kvm?

oVirt - Virt / Storage cross SIG dependencies
Hi,
I've seen that gluster is now available in CentOS Storage SIG[1].
Upstream we're currently requiring to enable the gluster 3.6 repository in order to use suche storage for oVirt managed VMs.
But while we're planning how to package for CentOS VIrt SIG we're interested in how to depend on inter-SIG dependencies and use gluster from within
the CentOS Storage SIG instead of

CBS tags hierarchy
Hi,
following Cloud SIG example[1] I would like to start defining the CBS tags hierarchy for Virt SIG.
For opening the discussion I suggest:
- virt${release}-common : packages not related to xen or kvm, used by at least 2 projects
- virt${release}-xen : xen hypervisor related packages
- virt${release}-kvm : kvm hypervisor related packages (like qemu-kvm-ev)
- virt${release}-ovirt : ovirt

aarch64 / Raspberry Pi3
Hi,
some time ago we've been asked to provide aarch64 build of qemu-kvm-ev for
CentOS Cloud SIG consumption.
We did it, and while at it we also built oVirt 4.0 VDSM dependencies for
aarch64 in CentOS Virt SIG.
Testing repositories have been created and are now publicly available:
