Upgrade to CentOS 7.6 with centos-xen-48 enabled
Hi all,
I'm unable to upgrade my Dom-0 from CentOS 7.5 to CentOS 7.6 with the
sigvirt
centos-xen-48 repository enabled and Xen components enabled.
It breaks down to down to the fact that 7.6 has a newer version of libvirt
included (4.5), while the Xen repository's packages are build against 4.1
version of libvirt.
I also tried to enable the libvirt-latest repository, but that does not

Open graphics connection with virt-manager problem
Hi,
Actually, we study virtualization on CentOS with Xen, our goal is to test if the migration of Xen with SLES 11 to CentsOS.
Our first tests are ok except for one problem and I don't find any solutions on the net. I hope, you can help me.
The problem is that I can't connect to my vm desktop with Virt-Viewer. I follow the installation guide available for centos?:

libvirt, xen PV, qemu-system-i386, root user
Hi, after migrating to libvirt/libxl according to:
https://wiki.centos.org/HowTos/Xen/Xen4QuickStart/Xen4Libvirt
I've noticed that my Xen PV domains are being launched by
qemu-system-i386 running under root privileges.
I am wondering why is this? Previously no qemu process was used.
If qemu is needed for some reason, are there any guidelines for non-root
operation?
Thanks

Can't create new Xen domains using libvirt on CentOS 6.5
Hello,
we have a strange problem on a fresh install of CentOS 6.5. On the
server we want to use Xen to host paravirtualised guests (the system has
no hardware virtualization support). To manage the domain we would like
to use libvirt. Xen and libvirt are set up as described here:

Installing support for q35 chipset
Hello
I have recently had to reinstall Centos 7.5 to on host computer. I have
not be able to set-up qemu to support the q35 chip set. I have several
virtual machines that require q35. This is not my first install, I have
configured libvirt on many machines in the past, it just worked, it has
not required any manual configuration.

How to kickstart a guest with Centos 6.6 & Xen 4.4
Hello,
I posted a question over at xenproject.org but it was recommended that I
send out a message here for help.
My post there:
http://www.xenproject.org/help/questions-and-answers/vanilla-pv-centos-guest-via-kickstart-centos-6-6,-xen-4-4.html
The TL;DR is: Everything I've found to kickstart a new vanilla rhel/centos
guest points to specifying a kernel & and initrd- for RHEL/Centos 5.

Xen Doc Day: Guide to setting up bridging on CentOS 6 / 7
In honor of Xen Doc Day, I've put up some basic HOWTOs for setting up
bridging on CentOS 6 and 7. I'm far from an expert, so I'd appreciate
any feedback.
The howtos can be found here:

Installing libvirt and Xen on Red Hat 7.5
Hi,
I am installing OpenStack on Red Hat 7.5. For Nova compute component, I
choose libvirt and Xen.
However, I am running into some problems. It seems libvirt is unable to
communicate with Xen.
Xen installation:
I installed Xen410 using "Xen make easy"
https://xen.crc.id.au/support/guides/install/. Here is a list of packages
installed and verification that Xen is running.

So you're measuring buffered speed. Try measuring non-buffered (iflag=direct or oflag=direct, depending if you're reading or writing).

disable libvirt-nwfilter
Hi,
i want to disable the nwfilter functionality of libvirt.
It's surely nice for some people, nevertheless i don't want libvirt to
alter any netfilter rules, neither i want the according functionality
even available.
I know about nwfilter-undefine, but what i'm looking for is an option to
globally disable this functionality at all. Some config flag or similar.
How can i achieve

Possible to edit/apply nwfilter at runtime?
I'm trying to determine if it's possible to edit/attach/apply nwfilter
rules at runtime? I.e., after a VM is already running, can I apply a
nwfilter to the VM and have it work without rebooting the machine? Thus
far, I've not come across a way to do so, but I thought I'd ask here
before I chase my tail around Google.
Thanks!
