Oh! That could be it indeed. I'm wondering what could be monopolizing them, though, and why +deb9u11 is affected

Time problem in Xen domU's after kernel update
Hello, I did a security-update for lenny a kernel on my dom0. And I rebooted one of the domU's (not sure if that's related). Now I have a problem with the time in the domU's. The time does not change anymore. The time is different in the different domU's. I don't use an independent_wallclock, so the time should be the same on the dom0 and the domU's. In the dom0 there is

Tapdisk processes being left behind when hvm domu's migrate/shutdown

xen domU shutdown and save
Hi There, Having some trouble discovering how to shutdown domU's without saving them. I have some awful power from the grid causing the backup battery system to initiate shutdown's on dom0, which is the desired result, however domU's are saving (which I don't want) and this takes a very long time (for whatever reason). As they shutdown, console does this

Can I bridge a bonded and vlan tagged interface directly to a guest?
I am running CentOS 5.3 x86_64 as my dom0 and CentOS 5.3 on my domU's. On the dom0, I have two interfaces that are bonded and have tagged VLANs. I can get the networks to the domU's by creating a bridge for each of the VLANS (bond0.3, bond0.4, etc). On the domU, the interfaces show up as eth0, eth1, etc. Is there a way to set up the network on the dom0 so my domU's see a single

how do I access an LV on a xen dom0?
Hi, I have a machine running several domU's. It has an LV that is currently mounted on dom0, that I would like to access from one of the domU's. If I umount the LV and remove it from the fstab on the dom0, is there a way I can mount it in one of the domU's? If there is a doc that describes how to do this, a pointer would be appreciated. I have tried google but so far no joy.

5.2-5.3 Xen upgrade weirdness
Hi, Has anyone tried upgrading xen domu's from 5.2 to 5.3? I just did a yum upgrade glibc & yum upgrade yum. All appeared to go well but when I rebooted and tried to connect to the network, I could not. Looking at /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts I see that the that there is now an ifcfg-eth0 and an ifcfg-eth0.bak. ifcfg-eth0 now contains configuration for a dynamically configured

(re)load new kernel with rebooting host node?
Hi all, Is it possible to reload the dom0 / host node's kernel with a newer one, without rebooting the server? I know kexec can do something like this for security patches, but I don't know much about kexec, and I don't want to mess up a production server either. So, has anyone done something like this before? I need to load a new kernel for one of the domU's iptables to work, but

shutdown and boot on Xen
Hi, I am using xen-3.0.3-41.el5 on Centos 5 with 2.6.18-53.1.21.el5xen kernel. I'd like to: 1) When Dom0 shutdown, DomU's do the same. 2) When Dom0 boots. DomU's do the same. Is that possible? Re: xen and libvirt
Hi I need the e820_host option for a passthrough of an digitaldevices dvb-s2 card. Without this I'cant initialize the card in the domU. On an all my domU's with high IO load like an file server I need to set max_grant_frames = 64 or higher. Without this I get a lot of messages on dom0/domU and kernel exceptions. I've read it should be ok to set it = 256 on all domU's

poor performance with dom0 on centos7
Hi All it is possible to tune dom0/domU for better IO/network performance? Since I have changed to Cenots7 dom0, I have a really poor IO performance inside a PV VM. I have already done what is described on http://wiki.xenproject.org/wiki/Tuning_Xen_for_Performance It is better now but still significantly worse than with centos6 dom0 my settings: xen parameter: dom0_mem=1024M cpufreq=xen

Question Kernel / KVM; Update Centos 7(.1)

I have big problems with KVM guests "slow slow slow", the DomU's are also CentOS 7 virt-manager is also broken with the 7.1 The "old" Bug in the Kernel is really bad, I have several hundreds log from the vcpu0 Problem. thank's for a
