Xen PV DomU running Kernel 4.14.5-1.el7.elrepo.x86_64: xl -v vcpu-set <domU> <val> triggers domU kernel WARNING, then domU becomes unresponsive
There are a couple of xen updates in the 4.9.66 and 4.9.68 kernels: https://cdn.kernel.org/pub/linux/kernel/v4.x/ChangeLog-4.9.66 https://cdn.kernel.org/pub/linux/kernel/v4.x/ChangeLog-4.9.68 Let me build a newer Dom0 kernel and see if that helps. Thanks, Johnny Hughes On 12/11/2017 06:52 PM, Adi Pircalabu wrote: > Has anyone seen this recently? I couldn't replicate it on: > -

[PATCH] drm: disable vblank only if it got previously enabled
I believe the solution is to not call drm_crtc_vblank_off for atomic modesetting in nouveau_display_fini. I think Ben's working on it. problems with NVS310
I have a Nvidia NVS310 installed in my Linux computer for a few years. It works well with the Nvidia driver, and not so well with the Linux nouveau driver. The Nvidia NVS310 has never worked well with Linux. In the beginning (many years ago) I decided to install Nvidia proprietary drivers, but every kernel upgrade would require an additional effort to have the driver working. That was enough

Crash in CentOS 7 kernel-3.10.0-514.16.1.el7.x86_64 in Xen PV mode
I experienced a bug that is likely the same as https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1350373 . Commit b7dd0e350e0bd4c0fddcc9b8958342700b00b168 , which is supposed to fix it, doesn't appear in this kernel and doesn't apply cleanly either. Is there any point in trying to backport the patch? The backtrace is as follows: [ 32.304666] ------------[ cut here ]------------ [

Unfortunately it seems like a corner case, somehow related to the hardware

HVM bug: system crashes after offline online a vcpu
Hi Konrad I encountered a bug when trying to bring offline a cpu then online it again in HVM. As I''m not very familiar with HVM stuffs I cannot come up with a quick fix. The HVM DomU is configured with 4 vcpus. After booting into command prompt, I do following operations. # echo 0 > /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu3/online # echo 1 > /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu3/online With

Question on CentoS 7.4 on nvidia
I installed the elrepo kmod-nvidia and also the nvidia-detect and modules (see below). I had X working with the 3.10 from Centos - but video was freezing. SO I thought I would try the elrepo kernel. I installed that and X does not come up? How do I re-make the nvidia module for 4.14.5 kernel? I want to make sure the kmod kernel did it. I 'm thinking it did not. lspci | grep VGA says
