New 4.9.11-22 kernels and linux-firmware packages to test in xen-testing for CentOS-6 and CentOS-7
Hi So far, I did some preliminary testing using nested virt: host(L0): Fedora 25, kernel-4.9.11-200, kvm+qemu Guest(L1): CentOS 7 Xen-4.6.3-7, kernel-4.9.11-22 So far, at least the L1 setup had no issues. I'll need to pull L1 guest-storage from backup to test some L2 guests. Likewise, I try to allocate two blades at work for tests on real metal. Our standard-tests include starting

Can't get XFS enabled on Centos 5.0
I anm trying to enable XFS with no success. I followed the instructions provided in http://wiki.centos.org/Repositories/CentOSPlus I installed the new kernel. Example: 2.6.18-8.1.14.el5.centos.plus I also installed these packages as described in a post I found yum install --enablerepo=centosplus xfsprogs xfsprogs-devel lsmod shows nothing about XFS I would image there are others out there

Realtek 8111GR on C7
Realtek is "real" good about getting drivers for their chips into the kernels as soon as possible. They are one of the few vendors that I have never had a problem with built in support... Mike McCarthy On 06/03/2016 08:03 AM, Phil Manuel wrote: > You can get the Linux driver from >

xfs_quotas, [SOLVED]
Y'all know I've been fighting this, on and off, for months. The last few days, I've done a *lot* of googling, and finally got a clue in a reply in a thread I found, where someone noted that you CANNOT enable things like pquotas on an XFS filesystem with mount -o remount, you *MUST* umount it, then mount it. In spite of mount showing the quota for the filesystem, it never worked. I

Xen4CentOS python-virtinst version issue, blktap2 problem
Hello, It seems currently when you "yum update" CentOS 6.6 Xen host you end up getting python-virtinst from c6 base repo: python-virtinst-0.600.0-24.el6.noarch and not from Xen4CentOS repo, because the version there is "older": 0.600.0-19. .. which means the centos/xen-specific patch in python-virtinst is "lost". (default to tap2 instead of tap1, to make blktap2

Building xfsprogs can't find valid UUID library
On CentOS 5.3 x86_64, I'm trying to build xfsprogs-2.9.4-1.el5.centos.x86_64 with -ggdb so I can use it with gdb and examine the data structures when using xfs_db. I've installed the src rpm as a non-root user and when I run rpmbuild -bc during the ./configure I get the error: . . . checking uuid.h usability... no checking uuid.h presence... no checking for uuid.h... no checking

CentOS 5 - base kernel vs. centosplus for XFS
I notice that the same versions of kmod-xfs and xfsprogs etc. are in both the extras and centosplus repositories for centos5. Is there any particular reason to use the centosplus kernel if what I'm primarily interested in is XFS filesystem support? I presume that if I am using the plus kernel, then I must use the plus versions of kmod-xfs etc., but I'm wondering whether I need the plus

xfs quota support
Hello, quota support is out of action on xfs filesystem on my centos 4.x . Problem is that i haven't these file #include <linux/dqblk_xfs.h> on my system. Solution is simple. After instalation xfsprogs-devel you get necessary files, but you must use another header file in dovecot/src/plugins/quota/quota-fs.c. Instead <linux/dqblk_xfs.h> you should use <xfs/xqm.h>.
