Error doing PCI passthrough on CentOS 7.2
Hi all, I am trying to configure a kvm guest using pci passthrough to pass it a wireless pci adapter (host is my personal laptop). But when I try to start it: error: Failed to start domain obsdfw error: unsupported configuration: host doesn't support passthrough of host PCI devices PCI passthrough is enabled: [ 0.000000] Command line: BOOT_IMAGE=/vmlinuz-3.10.0-327.28.3.el7.x86_64

grub (?) issue on Optiplex 780 A15, 6.8 upgrade
Most of the upgrades to CentOS 6.8 have gone smoothly. Thanks, as always, for all the work that goes into making it so easy to upgrade. On a few machines, however, all of them curiously: Dell Inc. OptiPlex 780 /0C27VV, BIOS A15 08/06/2013 There is something wrong with their interaction with grub (?). I noticed this after adding '3' to the module line to get it to

regression with paired left-censored data
HI I am trying to analyse data which is left-censored (i.e. has values below the detection limit). I have been using the NADA package of R to derive summary statistics and do some regression. I am now trying to carry out regression on paired data where both my X and Y have left-censored data within them. I have tried various commands in R: rega = cenreg(Cen(conc, cens_ind) ~ Gp_ident))? with

Basic connection between Mitel 3300 ICP and Asterisk (trixbox) - from a clueless newbie....
Hi all, Our company has deployed a Mitel 3300 system (only about 2.5 years ago) and we are experimenting with setting up Asterisk in our head office (for business continuity, ie we have a bird flu epidemic and no-one can come in, therefore use SIP softphones at home to co-ordinate activity) and at a remote site in the Isle of Man (connected via 2Mbps SDSL) Ideally we'd like anyone on either

intel_iommu=on => No root device found
Hi all, for some reaseon, my message wasn't published. Second try, this time without the giant attachment. I have an Intel server (SR2600URBRPR) in front of me. The disks in my server are connected via PCI card (Adaptec RAID 3405). Now I would like to passthrough a PCI-E graphics card to a KVM guest. As this requires Intel VT-d, I configured the following options in the BIOS: Intel VT for

TBOOT and extlinux
Hi, I'm trying to get to the bottom of a problem using the combination of tboot (http://tboot.sf.net, trusted boot kernel for Intel TXT) and extlinux. TBOOT loads using the multiboot protocol, where the tboot "kernel" is loaded as the kernel, and the actual linux kernel and initrd are specified as modules. A working grub configuration looks something like:

Mellanox SR-IOV IB PCI passthrough in Xen - MSI-X pciback issue
Greetings Xen user community, I am interested in using Mellanox ConnectX cards with SR-IOV capabilities to passthrough pci-e Virtual Functions (VFs) to Xen guests. The hope is to allow for the use of InfiniBand directly within virtual machines and thereby enable a plethora of high performance computing applications that already leverage InfiniBand interconnects. However, I have run into some

Can't get PCI passthrough working
I'm trying to get PCI passthrough working by passing through a DVB-T TV card to a VM running MythTV. When I assign the PCI devices in virt-manager and attempt to start the VM I get this error: Error starting domain: internal error: process exited while connecting to monitor: 2015-09-06T12:41:09.725990Z qemu-kvm: -device vfio-pci,host=05:02.0,id=hostdev0,bus=pci.0,addr=0x9: vfio: error, group

I think i might have solve it. For some reason grub2-mkconfig doesnt work. (Have no idea why) I manage to solve it with grubby. sudo grubby --args="intel_iommu=on" --update-kernel=ALL For some reason it works. I dont know if it works if my kernel gets upgraded.

SAS to R - if you have SAS 8.2+
Hi there, the attached R function uses the SAS Integrated Object Model (IOM) and it can deal with SAS dates and long variable names. All you need to provide is the folder where the SAS data file is and the data file name without the extension. The function requires the rcom package. This is meant to be first cut...but improvements and suggestions are more than welcome! Gyula import.sas.data

trouble with gfx_passthru=1 + intel vid card
Hi, I''m trying to pass an intel video card to a guest via VT-D. I got this to work once so i know my system can do it, but I can''t seem to replicate my success. Not sure if something changed in the bios(vt-d is still enabled there), or elsewhere. When I pass a device with gfx_passthru=0 (using config below), guest boots up and the vid card shows up at an incorrect pci id(ie not
