Xen pci passthru problems with kernel -164.6.1
I previously reported this on the centos mailing list: http://lists.centos.org/pipermail/centos/2009-November/085672.html And I've found out that Red Hat has backported the VT-d support from Xen 3.3 to RHEL 5.4. http://lists.centos.org/pipermail/centos/2009-November/085677.html It seams to me that the "classic" Xen pci-passthru (up to Xen 3.2) works only on some minor cases as

Problem faxing with SPA2100 in passthru mode.
Hi everyone, I'm trying to send a FAX with the following configuration: Analog FAX machine (OKI) <----->SPA21000<----->LAN<----->Asterisk<--------> PSTN I'm restricted to use passthru mode for faxing, instead of T.38 protocol, because the Asterisk box is running v1.2 and cannot be changed as it is in a heavy production environment. Anyway, it "should"

iommu=soft for Broadcom NICs PCI-passthru
Hi, My environment is as below: Hardware: Dell R210 NICs: Broadcom NetXtreme II BCN5709/5716 (w/o FLR) Xen: xen 4.1.2 Kernel: 3.6.32.57 (final version of xen community) Distribution: Centos 6.2 (upgraded to above kernel) When I added iommu=soft to domU kernel boot line, the PCI passthru-ed NICs can be UP and RUNNING. Otherwise, omit iommu=soft option would make the passthru-ed NICs only UP but

KVM Linux Guest Resolution only 1024x768
Dear All, I'm trying to install a Debian Wheezy KVM guest on a CentOS 6.4 Host. The only resolutions supported are 1024x768 or 800x600. I increased the video RAM to 500 MB, but the guest still says: [ 10.321] (II) CIRRUS(0): Not using default mode "1920x1200" (insufficient memory for mode) Only 32 MB are recognized: 00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Cirrus Logic GD 5446

VGA Passthru - FLR?
Hi, everyone. I''m Guilherme Suzuki (brazillian, by the way) and really interested in xen-vga-passthru. Lately, I bought a brand new Saphire HD 7950 (OC Boost) because I saw in a wiki somewhere that users have been able to passthru these VGA devices to domU (win7, win-xp and so on). But, after I installed it, I executed *lspci -vv* to check if FLR in DevCap was present (which

Re: Virtual gaming/workstation desktops using KVM VGA passthrough?
GizmoChicken, Read that there's a problem with Nvidia GeForce GTX cards and both Xen and KVM, like it's not on a Nvidia whitelist, I'm a bit concerned. From the ArchLinux thread I've seen some success with Nvidia GeForce GTX cards, this is confusing. The bit I read here was: " That would mean you are stuck with the GTX for that, but Nvidia nerfs their cards to stop

passthru
Question: Is there a method to allow NT logons to 'passthru' a Samba system??? It is necessary for me to hide a number of Win95 systems behind a linux system running ipmasq. All of that works o.k., but, for the life of me, I can't seem to figure out how to avoid having logon scripts run twice. I have placed the scripts in appropriate places on the linux system, thinking that

Need some help with G729 passthru
I'm trying to get Asterisk to pass thru calls using the G729 codec. I've got a 7960 phone and my gateway is an AS5400. Linux Guest in KVM - Best Display Resolution
Dear All, what settings do you use in KVM for Linux guests? The resolution with VNC / VGA is 1024x768 only. If I choose Spice / QXL the resolution is better, but colors aren't displayed properly and some letters are missing! In the Debian guest I installed the packages xserver-xspice and spice-client-gtk, but it wasn't better. So how do you configure KVM-guests with graphical
