Garbled screen after RAM Scrub on boot
Francis, I just rebooted my Precision 470 and watched...nothing :( I see the boot menu, and then everything goes blank - as in just a blinking cursor until I get the login prompt. No idea what it's doing - but I don't even see the scrubbing free memory output... Yes I usually work headless, but I have been setting it up from new, so need to see what is going on. Regards Francis From: "Scot P. Has anyone been able to start a Fedora 16 VM in Xen PV?
All, I've had a heck of a time getting Fedora 16 to run as a guest VM under CentOS 5.7 host as a paravirtualized Xen guest. I believe the issue has something to do with Fedora 16 using grub2... When I attempt to start the VM (via xm create), I get this error: Using config file "/etc/xen/fedora-workstation". Traceback (most recent call last): File "/usr/bin/pygrub",

Having trouble starting more than 8 Xen guests
All, I've spent quite a few hours trying to figure this out to no avail... I have two machines and the result is the same on both. Additionally, each machine does not support full hardware virtualization... I am able to create 8 VMs. When attempting to create ninth VM, I get the following error: Error: Device 51712 (vbd) could not be connected. /etc/xen/scripts/block failed; error

My vote is still for KDE It's got a similar feel to Windows before it went pear shaped at Win8. It's fairly easy to use. He should be able to do most stuff as a user. Hit the send key before actually typing anything :( Was going to say - ah OK didn't understand your original question. I'm not entirely sure - I just followed directions :) However, you ask a reasonable question. On Sat, 27 Feb 2016, Karanbir Singh wrote: > On 27/02/16 01:41, Scot P. Garbled screen after RAM Scrub on boot
When I was running Fedora 23 and using Xen (as the host OS), I saw something similar on my Dell Precision 470. I don't recall seeing it now with CentOS 7, but I tend to boot that machine headless more than not... Xen 4.4.3 packages available in virt6-xen-44-testing
George, Just an FYI - I tried to run the rpm command and none of the repos showed up enabled by default. I tried enabling them manually, but I get this error: One of the configured repositories failed (CentOS-7 - xen), and yum doesn't have enough cached data to continue. At this point the only safe thing yum can do is fail. There are a few ways to work "fix" this: ...

Yes, that's because the CBS is is not meant to be for production use, but only for building and testing. This is for two reasons: 1. The CBS itself is not mirrored, nor provisioned for

Xen 4.4.3 packages available in virt6-xen-44-testing
So first of all, if you've used the CBS before, please note the name change -- it's no longer virt6-testing, but virt6-xen-44-testing. Easiest way to install: rpm -ivh http://cbs.centos.org/repos/virt6-xen-44-testing/x86_64/os/Packages/centos-release-xen-7-7.el6.x86_64.rpm This will set up yum repositories for both the eventual release repositories (enabled by default), and the

Garbled screen after RAM Scrub on boot
Dear All I am using Centos 7 with Xen 4.6 on a Dell Poweredge T430 When the machine boots, after the 'Scrubbing Free RAM' message, I get a screen filled with little white squares until the login prompt, so I cannot see what is happening as the machine boots. Also there is nothing on the screen when I reboot. My /etc/default/grub is GRUB_DISTRIBUTOR="$(sed 's, release
