Re: Libguestfs Hangs on CentOS 7.4
(1) This made no difference. It still hangs around the same place. (2) It wasn't enabled in the kernel so i enabled it. I then rebooted but unfortunately it made no difference. If you want access to a hypervisor to have a play around, let me know. The only information i really have is that if i installed CentOS 7.3 on this hypervisor it works fine. Xen kernel-3.18.25-18 for EL6 and EL7 (CVE-2016-0728)
There is now a kernel-3.18.25-18 that fixes CVE-2016-0728 (and upgrades to the lastest 3.18 LTS kernel) for Xen4CentOS users. This kernel can be tested from here: http://cbs.centos.org/repos/virt6-xen-common-testing/x86_64/os/Packages/ (CentOS-6) and here: http://cbs.centos.org/repos/virt7-xen-common-testing/x86_64/os/Packages/ (CentOS-7) Once we get several tested installs we can move this

Missing module grub entry in xen-4.4.3-9 & boot issues
HI, We've started to see several issues with the Xen releases. Going back to basics I've used this guide https://wiki.centos.org/HowTos/Xen/Xen4QuickStart Once the install process is complete the grub.conf looks like this: default=0 timeout=5 splashimage=(hd0,0)/boot/grub/splash.xpm.gz hiddenmenu title CentOS (3.18.21-17.el6.x86_64) root (hd0,0) kernel /boot/xen.gz

DomU Guests not shutting down nicely when Dom0 Hypervisor shuts down
I am using Xen 4.6.0-8.el7 on CentOS 7 with 3 Linux DomUs. I did have Xen 4.? on CentOS 6.5 on my previous system. I installed using yum install centos-release-xen. On shutting down the Hypervisor it used to wait for the DomUs to shut down gracefully (one can take a minute or more), then on starting up again it would restart the DomUs, all nice and controlled. For some reason the DomUs (CentOS

4.9.34-29 EL6 and EL7 kernels
OK Guys and Gals, We have just kicked off a build of the 4.9.34-29 xen kernel on the Community Build Service for both EL6 and EL7. This kernel has some important things in it. 1. It has a patch for the stack guard issue (CVE-2017-1000364). Also the patch for Xen Security fix XSA-216. See these upstream changelogs for ALL kernel commits from 4.9.31 to 4.9.34:

Thanks for the info. I can confirm doing the following works: yum install centos-release-qemu-ev yum install qemu-kvm-ev libguestfs-test-tool completes in 3 seconds. Linux kernel 3.18.12 and libvirt 1.2.15 for Xen4CentOS in virt6-testing
Thanks to work from Johnny, linux 3.18.12 with all the x4c blktap goodness have been built and are now in the virt6-testing repo. I've also uploaded libvirt 1.2.15. As you may have seen earlier today, virt6-testing also includes an updated 4.4.2 package with the latest security update (XSA-133). The kernel has had some basic testing (by myself, Johnny, and another community member), but

SIG repo layout and conflicts between projects within a SIG
At the moment, we're essentially using yum repos as the "patch" mechanism to CentOS Base: SIGs populate a repo with packages they want to add / override, and all other packages default to Base. The current setup is that every sig has exactly one production repo per CentOS version. Also, we seem to be wanting to see SIGs not as individual projects, but to make the 'G' an

Xen specfile git repos
There was some discussion about the lack of visibility of the Xen4CentOS development process. The Xen spec files and supporting patches are kept in a git tree. I've pushed copies of these trees here: https://github.com/gwd/sig-virt-xen xen-44 is the branch for Xen 4.4 development, and xen-46 is the branch for Xen 4.6 development. As is normal, these repos do not contain many of the binary
