CentOS 6 Xen: XSAs 167-169, update to Xen 4.6
XSA 169 is out, but is low-priority and has a work-around, so I'm
going to batch it together with XSAs 167-168 and release a new 4.4.3
package when the embargo is lifted next Wednesday.
This will be the last XSA update for the 4.4.3 packages. Today or
tomorrow I will push the Xen 4.6.0 packages to buildlogs for testing;
and sometime after the final 4.4.3 packages are released, I will push

Xen build with XSAs through 163 in progress
Just a heads-up: A Xen package with XSAs through 163 is on its way
through the build system. I'll send an announcement when I've tagged
it as ready to be propagated to the mirrors.
As with the last XSA update, it will depend on having manually updated
to the new Virt SIG repository layout. If you haven't already please
run the following in preparation:
yum install

CentOS 7 Xen 4.6.0 packages available on buildlogs
At long last, we have the packages and the infrastructure set up in
what will be (hopefully) the final form for the CentOS 7 Virt SIG Xen
packages. Please help us by testing the packages and the
infrastructure.
To install the Virt SIG Xen repositories, install the CentOS 7
centos-release-xen package directly from buildlogs:
yum update

Xen-44 Package Updates for XSAs up to XSA-235
Hi all,
Sorry for running a bit behind on security patch releases for the Xen-44
branch. As of yesterday, package version 4.4.4-28 was released for
testing, which includes all relevant XSA patches through XSA-235 here:
https://buildlogs.centos.org/centos/6/virt/x86_64/xen-44/
Please test and provide feedback if possible so we can get this package
moved to release fairly soon.

XSAs 134, 135, and 136
Just to let people know what's going on:
The embargo for XSA-135 lifted today at 1400 UTC. The embargoes for
XSAs 134 and 136 lift tomorrow at 1200 UTC.
XSA-135 only affects guests which have been assigned a PCNET emulated
NIC, which is not the default; as such, it doesn't seem terribly
urgent to push the fix today.
So rather than push one fix today and another tomorrow, our plan is

4.9.34-29 EL6 and EL7 kernels
OK Guys and Gals,
We have just kicked off a build of the 4.9.34-29 xen kernel on the
Community Build Service for both EL6 and EL7.
This kernel has some important things in it.
1. It has a patch for the stack guard issue (CVE-2017-1000364). Also
the patch for Xen Security fix XSA-216.
See these upstream changelogs for ALL kernel commits from 4.9.31 to 4.9.34:

CentOS 7 libvirt-1.3.0-1 coming to virt-xen buildlogs
Hi,
There is a strange issue in the CentOS 7.2 libvirtd 1.2.17 service.
If there is a symlink in the "/etc/libvirt/qemu/autostart/" which is created
before the libvirtd service is started, libvirtd wont start.
Deleting the symlink from the autostart folder, then starting the libvirtd
service works.
Is this a know issue ?
We have found this on 4-5 servers.

CentOS 7 libvirt-1.3.0-1 coming to virt-xen buildlogs
Centos 7.2 has updated its version of libvirt to 1.2.17, which ends up
getting installed in preference to the previous virt-xen libvirt
package (1.2.15).
I've merged in the most recent Fedora libvirt package, 1.3.0, smoked
tested it, and pushed it to buildlogs, which can be accessed by adding
--enablerepo=centos-virt-xen-testing (after installing the CentOS 7
centos-release-xen package).

virt7-ovirt-35 is on buildlogs
hi,
ovirt-3.5-release content is now signed and available on buildlogs, the
corresponding -release file is on buildlogs.centos.org as well, in the
centos/7/extras/ repos ( so as to reflect final release location on
mirror.centos.org ).
Once we've had some testing, we can move to release and announcement.

xen 4.6.3-2 packages (with XSAs 185-188) making their way through CBS
Just a heads-up -- 4.6.3-2, for both CentOS 7 and CentOS 6, are making
their way through the build system now and should be in the mirrors
hopefully sometime later this afternoon.
These contain patches for XSAs 185-188, one of which is a fairly
critical update, so please update as soon as they're available.
