How to build CentOS 7 AMI
I'd like to revisit the thread about how the CentOS 7 AMIs are created ( https://lists.centos.org/pipermail/centos-devel/2015-July/013652.html) and see if the process can be published in the https://github.com/CentOS/sig-cloud-instance-build repository or another relevant location. With CentOS 7 AMIs only being available in the Marketplace, all resulting EC2 instances have the Marketplace

icecast relay server performance testing
Hi Philipp Thank you for chiming in. The only reason i use the -kh fork is because it seemed to be more recent. I had this performance issue with the regular version and tried the fork. I realize that the problem can be with the TCP stack parameters. I had no problem getting about 800Mbps between these machines when using iperf. Certainly, the workload completely different, but at least i know

CentOS AMI's published to AWS
Greetings! Can someone please explain the process for publishing CentOS 7 AMI's to AWS? I see the "official" CentOS marketplace page here: https://aws.amazon.com/marketplace/pp/B00O7WM7QW However, if I select us-west-2 and launch based on the current AMI that was released on 2/26/2016, I see that it is CentOS 7.2.1511 at boot up. Do new AMI's get published on a particular

AWS c5d.9/18xlarge instances not supported
Hi, why are larger AWS instances c5d.9xlarge and c5d.18xlarge (NVMe SSD attached) NOT supported by Centos7 AMI, while smaller instances (e.g. c5d.4xlarge) are supported? Also regular c5.9/18xlarge are supported. Thanks, Jens-Uwe Jens-Uwe Schl??ler -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... URL:

AWS Official AMI's with ENA Support
Hi, So whats the deal here guys? Is CentOS not going to start flagging the AMI's for AWS with the 'EnaSupport = True' on the latest images being created? Having this flag is the only way to take advantage of the newer m5 and c5 instance family types. Seems only `ami-02e98f78` supports ENA in 'US-EAST-1' to date and all since then do not. Would like someone to explain why

Broken Pipe error while using UpdateConfig command
Hello List, I have been working on a little PHP software that uses AMI's UpdateConfig command in order to modify some of it's config files. I was working with 'Asterisk 1.4.22.1' and everything was working. After upgrading to 'Asterisk 1.4.23.1' I receive a lot of errors of the type: ERROR[11505]: utils.c:966 ast_carefulwrite: write() returned error: Broken pipe

PV AMI for CentOS 7
Is there any chance we could get a PV AMI for CentOS 7 to match the HVM version at https://aws.amazon.com/marketplace/pp/B00O7WM7QW/ref=srh_res_product_title?ie=UTF8&sr=0-2&qid=1442957668341 We have prepurchased reserved instances based on older PV machines (m1, c1, etc) It would be very very helpful to have a PV AMI so we could migrate to CentOS 7 on those image types.

Azure Centos Images
Hello, I was wondering if there is any plan to support an official image for the Microsoft Azure cloud platform? Currently there is a third party publisher "OpenLogic" providing an Centos image but I don't know who they are. Redhat is providing a RHEL 7.3 template and Canonical is providing Ubuntu. I see that a comprehensive set of AMI's are maintained for Amazon Web services.

CentOS 7 AMI Building
Yes... we currently use Packer to achieve a repeatable build process, from scratch. We'd like to replicate that and be able to build from scratch without spinning up an EC2 instance, in an automated way. I don't know how to phrase this, so apologies if it comes across wrong, I have immense respect for you personally and for CentOS... but, is it really that difficult to post the kickstarts

Again on overlaying plots (a plot region within a plot region)
Dear R-users, after seeking for help in R-search I did not find any hint on my particular problem. Countless help on "true" overlay, but nothing on this. Please consider the following: par(mfrow = c(2, 1)) T <- seq(0, 20, by = 0.01) ## PLOT 1 plot(T, 30*exp(-0.65*T), type = "l" ) points(T, 30*exp(-0.26 * T), type = "l", lty = "F8") points(T,
