Linux kernel 3.18.12 and libvirt 1.2.15 for Xen4CentOS in virt6-testing
Thanks to work from Johnny, linux 3.18.12 with all the x4c blktap goodness have been built and are now in the virt6-testing repo. I've also uploaded libvirt 1.2.15. As you may have seen earlier today, virt6-testing also includes an updated 4.4.2 package with the latest security update (XSA-133). The kernel has had some basic testing (by myself, Johnny, and another community member), but

Xen kernel-3.18.25-18 for EL6 and EL7 (CVE-2016-0728)
There is now a kernel-3.18.25-18 that fixes CVE-2016-0728 (and upgrades to the lastest 3.18 LTS kernel) for Xen4CentOS users. This kernel can be tested from here: http://cbs.centos.org/repos/virt6-xen-common-testing/x86_64/os/Packages/ (CentOS-6) and here: http://cbs.centos.org/repos/virt7-xen-common-testing/x86_64/os/Packages/ (CentOS-7) Once we get several tested installs we can move this

SIG repo layout and conflicts between projects within a SIG
At the moment, we're essentially using yum repos as the "patch" mechanism to CentOS Base: SIGs populate a repo with packages they want to add / override, and all other packages default to Base. The current setup is that every sig has exactly one production repo per CentOS version. Also, we seem to be wanting to see SIGs not as individual projects, but to make the 'G' an

RFC: Use git am for patchqueue
OK, I've got a basic initial port of the xen package up to 4.4.0. But before I post that, I wanted to get comments on a new method of managing the Xen part of the patchqueue. You can find the RFC branch here: repo: http://github.com/gwd/sig-virt-xen branch: out/git-am-patchqueue-RFC-v1 The basic idea is to put as much as possible into a 'git am' file. This file can easily be

CentOS 7 Xen 4.4.3 packages available for in virt7-xen-44-testing
Updated Xen 4.4.3 packages have passed my local smoke tests, and are now available. Full C7 release is still waiting on suitable testing for the libvirt packages. If someone wants to step up to give the libvirt packages a decent smoke test, that will speed the C7 release process significantly. Otherwise it will have to wait until I get a chance to write some automated smoke tests. In the mean

kernel 4.9.86-30 missing mpt2sas module
Hi I am attempting to setup Xen 4.10 with kernel 4.9.86-30 ( virt7-xen-410-testing, virt7-common-testing ) on CentOS7 After installing everything, the machine was unable to boot and hung in dracut stating it could not find its root device. The testsystem I use is a somewhat aged Dell M915 Blade (Quad opteron 61xx), using an MPT SAS controller for it's SAS boot drives. Stock CentOS 7

Xen4CentOS and XSA-142
It looks like no XSA-142 patch, which is "libxl fails to honour readonly flag on disks with qemu-xen" has been applied to Xen4CentOS. I assume this was on purpose? If not, I can have someone try adding the original patch from http://xenbits.xen.org/xsa/advisory-142.html and some variant of the commit from ef6cb76026628e26e3d1ae53c50ccde1c3c78b1b

Xen 4.4.3 packages available in virt6-xen-44-testing
So first of all, if you've used the CBS before, please note the name change -- it's no longer virt6-testing, but virt6-xen-44-testing. Easiest way to install: rpm -ivh http://cbs.centos.org/repos/virt6-xen-44-testing/x86_64/os/Packages/centos-release-xen-7-7.el6.x86_64.rpm This will set up yum repositories for both the eventual release repositories (enabled by default), and the
