Thanks for all the replies. Looking at the specs for the processor it does not seem to have the vmx features in /proc/cpuinfo: http://www.notebookcheck.net/Intel-Core-2-Duo-T6400-Notebook-Processor.35100.0.html and the output from grep -E ?vmx|svm? /proc/cpuinfo is empty. /lib/modules/3.10.0-229.7.2.el7.x86_64/kernel/arch/x86/kvm [keith.roberts at acer-centos kvm]$ ls kvm-amd.ko kvm-intel.ko

update samba help to download
i have full speed from the mirror, it is samba.org that is unusable to me the mirror is outdated by many version as you should know look at 4.9. you see is only 15. I jest viewed email from someone at samba saying they changed the rsync to ssl only, and the mirrors were told couple weeks before all around that time so it seem many mirrors not bothered to change so will stay outdated for ever

CentOS 6.10 bind DNSSEC issues
Hi, ??? Anyone else had any issues with CentOS 6.10 bind DNS server issues this afternoon. At 16:26 (GMT) had alerts for DNS failures against our CentOS 6.10 bind DNS servers from our monitoring system. CENTOS 6 3rd party repos compared to Centos 5?
Is there any differences between the repos used by Centos 5.8 and those used by Centos 6.x please - ie does C6 use the same 3rd party repos as C5 does? Is there a Centos wiki article for C6 repos? Virsh-install error
Hi everyone, This is my first attempt at a PV guest install from scratch and I''m a tad confused. Have I answered one of the questions virsh-install asks wrongly? Does anyone know of a general guide for installing PV guests with virsh-install? (Most Centos docs seem to use the GUI based virt-manager and I only have command line access). Possible repo polllution
Hi, I've just been checking my local copy of the CentOS repos. I found 200+ i386/i686 packages in both the updates/5/RPMS and updates/6/Packages directories. I checked with my rsync site ( ftp.heanet.ie ) and the equivalent UK site ( ftp.mirrorservice.org ) and they both carried these packages also. Is this a case a repo pollution, it can't be necessary to have i386 packages in

Help with plotmath
There must be a simple answer. I want to plot an expression, where the expression is held in a string variable. The "obvious" solution along the lines of ex<-"x^2" plot( c(0,1), c(0,1), main=as.expression(ex) ) gives me the a title x^2 - ie doesn't treat it like an expression.
