help with 20050830
I am having some, what I would consider to be, strange problems with this release. Hope someone can clue me in. Nothing about this in Bugzilla. Fedora core 4, wine compiled from tarball download. Did ./tools/wineinstall, added /usr/local/lib to /etc/ld.so.conf; /sbin/ldconfig executing winecfg gives: err:wave:OSS_WaveOutInit open(/dev/mixer1) failed (No such file or directory)

strange window behaviour with access 2000
Hi, I am using wine-20050111 with Access 2000. When I start the Access application the switchboard (opening screen with buttons) is minimized. I can drag the window bigger and everything works fine. But when I maximize the switchboard with the window button, Access "hangs". In the console these messages are repeated every time: fixme:hook:NotifyWinEvent (32773,0x20078,159,0)-stub!

No sound with alsa and Nvidia HDMI
Hi, I cannot get wine to recognize my audio device (Nvidia GT210 w/HDMI). No other sound card is enabled. The right device for sound is hw:0,3. Alsa's speakertest works fine. Pulseaudio is completely removed from my system. Also Wine's pulse package is removed even though the trace still has some references to pulseaudio. Winecfg displays only MIDI devices under ALSA. Winetools is terrific
Yesterday, I finally jad an extended opportunity to try using wt to set up wine again. Last time I tried, ie wouldn't work when I got through. This time, it worked great. I am thinking that part of the problem was due to the time required for the download of IE, using the dialup connection. Winsserver timed out a number of times. By installing again, the downloaded stuff was already there,

Foobar2000 audio player Regression
Foobar2000 worked virtually perfectly in the 20041021 release (aside from some comctrl32 repainting issues -- which native comctrl32.dll fixed), but in 20041201 it is completely unuseable. Two major problems: 1) The toolbars are completely gone. They are sort-of displayed when they get activity via mouse-press or whatever, but they do not repaint correctly at all. See this screenshot for details:

Using WinBUGS from R: A Multi-Way Array Problem
Please suggest a way out to the following problem. I have a T by n data matrix (say Y) where coulmns are time series of length T. To do some analysis in WinBUGS I need to construct my data as follows. yy<-rep(Y,k) ## this will be a vector Yk<-array(yy,dim=c(T,n,k)) ## data array Here the definition of dim indices is first index: T rows second index: n columns third index: for kth T by n
