Clustering Project
sir, Till now I was confident enough to handle this project in the summer but the only thing which I had a little concern was the algorithm that I proposed. The thing is previously while writing the proposal I did not read much research papers on clustering, just the few I read and an idea strike to me and I wrote the proposal and discussed with you. But for last few days I was searching for the

[PATCH 1/3] dib: unset all temporary dirs envvars in fake-sudo
The real sudo does it as well, and leaving them when preserving the environment (-E) maybe breaks the applications, as e.g. chroot will have a TMPDIR path pointing outside of it. --- dib/dib.ml | 5 +++++ 1 file changed, 5 insertions(+) diff --git a/dib/dib.ml b/dib/dib.ml index df83ba1..d15cd19 100644 --- a/dib/dib.ml +++ b/dib/dib.ml @@ -301,6 +301,11 @@ if [ -z \"$preserve_env\" ];

creating a pulldown entry on the fly
My first ROR app is coming along nicely. This is definately a agile env. One of my last issues before inhouse deployment is creating pulldown entries on the fly. In particular, I''m writing a job tracking app for my company. We mostly do jobs for the same customers (law firms), so I have a pull down of law firms which is populated from a law_firms table. i.e assume only 2 tables for

can''t run Debian guest
Hello, I created a paravirtualized Debian Squeeze guest (using virt-manager), after completing the initial setup I was asked to reboot, in order to finalise the installation. The guest startup breaks down with the error message: Error starting domain: POST operation failed: xend_post: error from xen daemon: (xend.err "Error creating domain: Boot loader didn''t return any

Forming a "Project Leadership Committee"
Xapian is in the process of joining the Software Freedom Conservancy (https://sfconservancy.org/), but one thing we need to sort out before we can finalise this is some sort of more formal project leadership structure. James Aylett and I have discussed this with Bradley Kuhn from Conservancy, and we think the most appropriate model currently would be a small group of at least 3 (to avoid deadlock

language support
hi guys, Just to touch base and restart the conversation about language support in the wiki. w.r.t the namespace / urlspace issue - did we finalise / decide on using wiki.centos.org/<lang>/<namespace> ? or is that issue still open to discussion ? Also, are pages in English going to remain as wiki.centos.org/<namespace>/ ? Also, iirc - someone was going to have a go at

CentOS Tshirt ideas
hi, We have, like in the years past, a table at Fosdem and I'd like to get some tshirts printed to hand out. In the past, the Linux Ninja's and Beards ones got quite a bit of attention ( and both were not brand spammy, which is always nice ). Reaching out to the mailing list for ideas on what we can do this year, with the caveat that I need to finalise by this weekend if we are to get

Is there a way to add items from the bottom of a drop down list
I am writing a banking / accounting / bookkeeping system for myself. I have orgs (who pay me or who I pay) and line_items (day to day transactions that mirror the entries on my bank statements) On my line_items screen I have a select box with various orgs in it. I''d like to have a way to add an org write there on that screen rather than have to leave it and go back to the orgs

Plan for landing flang in monorepo
Hi llvm-dev It's been a few weeks since I last gave an update on F18 and our progress on readying it for inclusion into the monorepo. Last time we discussed this the community challenged us to make the F18 source code look more like an LLVM project and to come up with a plan and schedule for completing this work (http://lists.llvm.org/pipermail/llvm-dev/2020-January/137989.html) The full

Wiki license, again
and this time with a decision, please. Hi, I just had a talk with someone on IRC who wanted to reuse stuff from <http://wiki.centos.org/MarketingMaterial> and asked me about the licensing of content on there. Which made me think "Well, let us restart this discussion again". We *do* need a license for content on the wiki. The three licenses we're favouring (well, sort of)

How do you set the encoder bit reservoir size?
Hi; In the Vorbis 1.1 release notes from July 7, 2004, Monty says "The 1.1 libvorbisenc allows setting the fixed reservoir size (in bits, defaulting to two seconds worth of requested bitrate) and 'hoarding' behavior (whether the encoder tends to keep the bit reservoir more full or more empty) as well as the other encoding heuristics available through the API of 1.0.1."

dev.print
Hi, Shouldn't the following commands produce a nice jpeg file, or am I missing something? hist(rnorm(1000)) dev.print(file="test.jpg",device=jpeg) I get a very tiny (6x6 pixel) jpeg every time. Using dev.copy(file="test.jpg",device=jpeg) ; dev.off() instead of dev.print produces a perfectly nice plot, but is more cumbersome. R bug or my misunderstanding? Scott

OT: Headset for Cisco 7960?
Sorry, I know it's OT, but does anyone know of a relatively inexpensive headset that is compatible with the Cisco 7960? I've tried the headset off Norstar phones, doesn't seem to work with or without the amp. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ | nate carlson | natecars@natecarlson.com | http://www.natecarlson.com | | depriving some poor

Upgrading 1.2 to 2.x
Hi I'm about to upgrade to 2.1.7 in my test environment, but "doveconf -n -c dovecot.1.conf > dovecot.2.conf" is producing a blank file, so I am unsure how to proceed. I know a lot has changed between them, so I don't really want to have to start from scratch unless I have to. I have tried both as my user and with sudo. Simon

Plan for landing flang in monorepo
Can you elaborate on this? - to move the std::string/string_view/StringRef changes to pre-merge unless you're going to have someone dedicated to handling them post-merge (rather than "time permits"). The C vs C++ ism here is fairly strong and I'd like to get the C-style string handling out fairly quickly. I understood this item to be looking into replacing uses of std::string

HVM - BIOS serial console redirection?
I realized this is probably better suited for the devel list.. basically, is there any way in the BOCHS bios to enable ''Serial Console Redirection'', where you see the BIOS contents over the serial line? Windows 2003''s ''Emergency Management Services'' console (which allows you to do installs and fix stuff over the serial line) requires this to
