Samba PDC and User Management with Perl scripts
Hello,
I want to implement a perl logon script which would map network shares
depending on group membership. This way when I move a user to or from a
group
it automatically gets the new shares.
The PDC is Samba 2.2.1 or 2.2.2 on BSD and clients are NT workstation
and 2000 Pro.
Perl is latest activestate for win32 and is intended to run on Win32
clients.
The big trouble is getting user Group

Which version works with NullDC 1.0.3?
Hello.
I'm currently running Debian Wheezy (testing), and I'm unable to get NullDC to run.
It keeps erring out with D3D messages. After reading the Wiki, I see that some were able to get it running.
Can someone help me find a specific version of Wine that'll run this emulator?
I've already tried 1.0.1, and 1.3.19. They are the current versions in Debian testing, and

NT network can't browse Samba
Hi,
I'm trying to setup a Linux box with Samba (1.9.18p10) and it isn't
having any luck making a home for itself on the network.
If I go to a Windows95 machine, I see all (well most) machines on the
net there, but not the Linux box. I can also not see any other machines
from the Linux box.
Here is log.nmbd output that repeats every 5 seconds or so:

Troubleshooting - another suggestion...
Hi Timo,
I'm the one who suggested the '-n' option to capture the actual config
settings that the running dovecot process was using (ala postfix), and
you implemented it very quickly - so thanks for that!
Now, I'd like to suggest an enhancement...
Many people still do not provide basic things like dovecot version, and
there are secondary config files like dovecot-ldap, whose

saving related objects using has_many_through associations
This only saves the @person but not the @address. Shouldn''t it save
both?
@person = Person.new(params[:person])
@address = Address.new(params[:address])
@person.address << @address
@person.save
here is what I have:
class Person < ActiveRecord::Base

1.0.1 release candidate 2
I'll release v1.0.1 in a day or two, but it would be nice to get some
testing before the release to see if I managed to break something after
the Mercurial conversion. And did I forget something that should be
fixed for v1.0.1?

conntrack entries established before nat

redirect_to error
Hi,
I have a redirect_to statement in a method that I would like to have
at the end of the method to take you to a ''Success'' page if
everything works.
When I hit the redirect_to statement, ( redirect_to :action =>
''show_success'' )
I get this in the browser:

do not lose mail when dovecot is dead
Hi!
Recently I've experienced problems with dovecot. Dovecot died silently,
what means is that there are no core files, nor any indication in the
log files, just the "kevent(): Invalid argument" messages. Dovecot just
died, so deliver could not connect to the auth-master socket, which
means that messages couldn't been delivered. The problem is that
postfix thought that the

openssh-1.2.1pre24 on SCO
Yo All!
Sorry if this is obvious but I am new to openssh. I have used the
original ssh for a while and am familiar with it (and it's
restrictive license).
I am trying to port openssh-1.2.1pre24 on to SCO UnixWare 7.1.0. I
will post the small patches when it is really running.
Two problems, SCO has no /dev/random so I installed egd-0.6. It
usually works but sometimes dies. I have sent
