EPYC Quantum 1500va
Good Evening, I recently purchased an EPYC quantum UPS. I installed
NUT on the home assistant by connecting the UPS via USB and tried all
the various drivers in the list, the only one that seems to work is:
usbhid-ups
with this log:

Anything in the hardware logs of the server like memory error or so? Any
watchdog on the servers acting bad?
We run CentOS 7 and KVM on AMD Opteron and AMD EPYC servers without issues.

Hello,
We have launched some EC2 servers 6 month ago using the CentOS 8
MarketPlace AMI 47k9ia2igxpcce2bzo8u3kj03 (

Now we have migrated these servers to CentOS Stream 8.
We can change the instance type of these servers until m6i and c6i Intel

Bulk upload of pictures
Hi everyone,
I am working on a Rails application with photo upload
capablility and I need to add some bulk ulpoad tool.
I decided for using a zip file with JPEG pictures inside.
The zip would be uploaded, then extracted into some temp
directory with the help of rubyzip extension. Then all the
photo files should be copied into their final places in the
file system.
I am interested in your

KVM Random Reboots AMD EPYC Server
our new Server with AMD EPYC and super micro board reboots ramdonly.
There is no error message before the reboot in /var/log/messages.
we are running 2 Server with VMWare workstation without any problem.
The new server should run KVM.
older servers with AMD (before EPYC) running KVM without any problem.
any idea or recommendation?

I've setup libvirtd on my manjaro linux laptop.
Got a couple of VM's running (Win10 and Debian10) through NAT without any

Sysinux 6 will not boot ISOs on BIOS (i.e. pre-UEFI) systems
Hi there,
since I didn't had the time to test, this might be the solution for the
issue Arch-based distros faced:
https://projects.archlinux.org/svntogit/packages.git/plain/trunk/syslinux-6.02-fix-chainloading.patch?h=packages/syslinux
This is included in the latest syslinux package you find in
testing/unstable at Manjaro.
kind regards
Phil

Hi Daniel,
First of all, awfully sorry for replying so late. Unfortunately your reply
had gone to the Spam drawer...
Also, I'm answering from Gmail's webmail which IIRC only allows for 'quote
original post below'. So please forgive me for not following the proper
netiquette of 'quote original post above'.

Sysinux 6 will not boot ISOs on BIOS (i.e. pre-UEFI) systems
Hi Ady,
I'm the developer of manjaroiso, the tool we use to build our install
medias for Manjaro Linux.
During our testings we found out, that syslinux6 won't work on older
hardware. I've a new Lenovo i7 notebook which booted up our images just
fine. Even with syslinux6. On my other PCs I got similar error messages
as Carl got.
Here is the code I'm using for either syslinux6

why --delete dosen't work in my script?
Hi,
In my backup script I have noticed nothing gets deleted on the remote

anything obvious here?
