AW: debian 10, vm cant connect to the host bridge
someone recommended that i should give br0 the same hardware address as eno2. I did that, and restarted the vm, and it still does not work. Here is my current host interface config: ip a 1: lo: <LOOPBACK,UP,LOWER_UP> mtu 65536 qdisc noqueue state UNKNOWN group default qlen 1000 link/loopback 00:00:00:00:00:00 brd 00:00:00:00:00:00 inet 127.0.0.1/8 scope host lo valid_lft

AW: debian 10, vm cant connect to the host bridge
I should have what i want to achive. The server is intended as a host for VMs. Our network has multiple VLANs, and the VMs will be connected to different VLANS. The interface eno1 is for host traffic and eno2 is connected to the trunk port of the switch, making the different VLANS availabel to the VMs via the br0. I want to use a VLAN-aware br0, so that I specify in my VM config (on the host

Dear CentOS-Community, we are facing the following issue: A secondary ip address seems to be automatically added to a nic which causes several issues in our setup. This server is equipped with four nics which are currently in use: # nmcli con show NAME????? UUID????????????????????????????????? TYPE????? DEVICE eno2????? cb6fcb54-be52-4ab6-8324-88091a0ea1a0? ethernet? eno2 eno4?????

macvtap and tagged VLANs to the VM
Hi, I would like to run a network firewall as a VM on a KVM host. There are ~ 25 VLANs delivered to the KVM host on three dedicated links, no LACP or other things. I have the VLANs 100-180 on the host's enp1s0, the VLANs 200-280 on the host's enp2s0 and the VLANs 300-380 on the host's enp3s0. To save myself from configuring all VLANs on the KVM host, I'd like to hand the entire

AD DC and file server on a virtual machine
Dear Samba-List, i'm new to the list and new to samba. Right now I'm trying setup a samba ADDC serving around 50 Windows 10 clients and a couple of linux clients. My ADDC Host has two NICs, eth0 should be connected to the wan - network, eth1 should be connect to a 10.* network, serving the windows and linux clients. The ADDC is up and running, serving only the 10.* network. I

Guys, what i noticed. Look at this. Refused- 1/3/0 (Class 254) ( /24 ) Paully used /16 update 1/3/1 (Class 254) CNAME V-RDS02.mydomain.com CNAME ? And, if he uses in his example samba-tool dns add dc3 mydomain.com V-RDS02 A 130.130.0.252 A record was used. Oh! In that case ignore it. Asterisk won't rebind the adapter if you've only changed parameters. still possible to use traditional bridge network setup ?
Hi, i'm currently installing a SLES 12 64bit system. libvirt-client-1.2.5-13.3.x86_64 and libvirt-daemon-1.2.5-13.3.x86_64. Formerly I created my vm's (KVM) using a traditional bridge in my host systems, mostly SLES 11 SP3. But with SLES 12 I don't succeed. I can use the macvtap device in the host, but I like to be able to communicate between host and guest. Is the traditional bridge

Can't get cable connection working on virtual router machine
I'm pretty new to KVM and have a KVM CentOS 7.1 hypervisor running a few VMs. I'm moving all my VMs from an ESXi host as I want to use KVM in future. Most of my VMs are working except for one which is running a Sophos UTM router (Sophos UTM is similar to products like pfSense <https://www.pfsense.org/>, Smoothwall <http://www.smoothwall.org/> etc). The host has 3 physical NICs
