Where can CentOS7 yum-cron logs be found?
I'm trying to setup two CentOS7 systems with automatic security updates to run
as my kubernetes nodes. I've also centralized all my outgoing mail through my
mailgun service, so I've been using the cli tool "mailx", which I have configured
with my credentials. Coming from Fedora32 and CentOS7, dnf-automatic had a
helpful emission target that was "email_command". By

Samba 4.12.0 on Fedora32: bind DNS still say "named: client @...: update 'fedora.loc/IN' denied"
Hi, I'm doing some tests of samba DC 4.12.0 + MIT (experimental)
Kerberos + Bind DNS + Dhcpd + Chronyd on Fedora 32 beta.
All work fine except this issue:
The dhcp work, and the script for record the name of clients into dns
is disable (like Rowland suggest).

If I join a new windows client to domain all work fine and

grub, initrd and Co
Hi all,
I am trying to boot from a HD created as a copy of a running system

This is the system to be copied :

Disk usage incorrectly reported by du
I have an ext4 filesystem for which the reported disk usage is not
correct. I have noticed the discrepancy after I rsync-ed the content to
another filesystem and noticed that the used space on the target is almost
double of the size reported on the source.
Both machines are running the same software - with the same kernel version
and same coreutils version (which I later upgraded to latest

Question around updates and drpms directory
Looking at the nice new 6.4 tree (thanks!!!) I see there are already
a few updates.
eg
Packages/firefox-17.0.3-1.el6.centos.i686.rpm
Packages/firefox-17.0.3-1.el6.centos.x86_64.rpm
So far, so normal. These occur because of timing. That's not a problem;
it's expected.
What confuses me, though, is the drpms directory where there are 33
firefox drpm files compared to the 2 Packages,

doveot reporting "No space left on device" - yet df show plenty of space / inodes.
Hi,
I am running dovecot 1.0.rc7 on a Suse Linux server. The server has approx 200+ mailboxes.
Last week the filesystem (/dev/mapper/datavg/dat2lv) ran out of space - causing it to do into read-only mode. When I realised this I allocated some more space and re-booted the machine...
Strangely it seems that dovecot is still having problems... It's like dovecot doesn't realise that

Resizing lvm fails with fedora20
Hi,
I'm trying to resize a 15GB LVM root partition on a fedora20 server with
a fedora20 guest and I'm having a problem. Is this supported on fedora20?
I recall having a similar problem (maybe even exact same problem) all
the way back in fedora16 or fedora17, but hoped/thought it would be
fixed by now?
