Trying virgl in fedora 25
Hello, I'm trying to test what found here: http://blog.wikichoon.com/2016/05/spice-openglvirgl-acceleration-on.html and here: https://www.kraxel.org/blog/tag/virgl/ My system is a fedora 25 laptop, born in version 23 and gradually updated to 24 and 25 now. I had a fedora 25 guest that worked ok with "normal"spice and I'm trying to configure with virgl Main components currently

Re: VGA as vfio-pci and vnc server's blank/black display
I am trying QXL but similarly windows guest says device is not working. Does xen-4.2.0 support VGA passthrough with the virtual machine created by xl command?
Hi, everyone! I am working on xen-4.2.0 with spice remote connect. My host is Fedora 14 and guest is win7. I have installed spice package and now I can connect to guest by spice client. For better graphics experience, I want to try the VGA passthrough. With spice tool, I have to create a VM by xl command, and now I am wondering if it supports VGA passghrouth? If so, how should I test it ?

USB blues
I have a freshly built, updated EL6 system and am having problems with USB stability - at boot everything works fine but within a few hours, USB devices start disappearing randomly. At first I though the USB devices were suspect, but removing the suspect devices and an accessory PCIE USB card hasn't changed anything. As of now, a single USB device is working. (which is lucky, it hosts the

Network hangs after several hours (Centos 6 recently upgraded kernel/glibc)
Just noticed that in the trace, it shows an old kernel, so I don't think grub was automatically selecting the latest kernel. Just wondering what process updates the default to be the latest kernel, and if a problem could be an update but grub selecting an older kernel, but other packages updated ? PCI Passthrough, AMD, fails to initialize
I'm looking for assistance with pci-passthrough on CentOS 6.2. I've installed libvirt version: 0.9.4, package: 23.el6_2.8 from yum. I have a windows XP client setup via virt-manager which boots and runs fine until I attempt to assign a PCI device to it. The error log reads: -----------------/var/log/libvirt/qemu/SageTv.log---------------- 2012-06-02 22:55:07.801: starting up LC_ALL=C

VGA as vfio-pci and vnc server's blank/black display
hi, I'm having a Radeon as vfio-pci, which seems to work perfectly fine, but... Qemu's model type='vga' gets "exlaimed" in win2k8's Device Manager with: " Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43) " Now, that does not bother me that much as all I need on regular basis is RDP but VNC connection gets me nowhere. I get

Network hangs after several hours (Centos 6 recently upgraded kernel/glibc)
Hi all, We have a development server we have just tried updating the kernel & glibc after recent recommendations. Its been stable previously for a few years with only scheduled reboots. Its running Centos 6.6(final) 2.6.32-573.18.1.el6.x86_64 GNU libc 2.12 Upgraded via YUM, rebooted, all fine for several hours, and then network seemed to hang. Not much happening as its a dev server we are

Network hangs after several hours (Centos 6 recently upgraded kernel/glibc)
Thanks Richard, We currently do all security updates at short notice (as opposed to everything), via a script. I've amended the grub config and rebooted to make sure it will reboot into the correct kernel now, and yes /etc/sysconfig/kernel was different to production servers. We may try all packages if it continues to be unstable now and maybe whatever as its on a dev server to test. Thanks
