Re: [libvirt-users] virt-sparsify changing the apparent-size of files
Hello,
Thanks for all the information, I think my last remaining question is
why the image created with virt-install shows the full apparent size
and the image from virt-sparsify does not? (The image testimage1.qcow2
created with default options).
As they are both qcow2 I would expect them both to have the same
behavior as far as apparent size goes. Or is there an option I am
missing in

Incorrect positioning of raster images on Windows
I am working on dumping raster data from R into PNG files using
rasterImage(). I am working with a test matrix from the rasterImage()
example and using it to produce a PNG image with the following code:
# From the example for rasterImage(). A 3 pixel by 5 pixel b/w checkerboard.
testImage <- as.raster(0:1, nrow=3, ncol=5)

Syslinux 3.70 - BSS DOS boot says: "Could not find kernel Image: linux".
Hello, I'm trying to create and boot a Win98SE-DOS OS through Hard Disk emulation. My src files are from a Win98SE 1440K floppy image file, with a x86 boot sector (dl'd from the net - I have no floppy drive and a slow net link 3.2KB).
I don't know what to put into the partition boot record of my image and how to load dos.bss properly (the docs explain for floppy images not for HD

ftp.freebsd.org out of date? (WRT security advisories)
It seems (at least for me) the patches on ftp.freebsd.org are out of
date for the 03:12 security advisory (openssh). ftp2.freebsd.org has
them fine.
I'm wondering if this is a mirror issue or perhaps round-robin DNS problem?
What compounds the issue is that right now the old openssh 3.7 patches
are there (on ftp.freebsd.org), but not the 3.7.1 patches (which can be
found on

Building an RPM
Hi,
I have downloaded libvirt-0.9.11 and compiled it on my RHEL 6.2 system.
I am trying to build a binary RPM for distribution, I am not sure what the best way to go about doing this is.
http://libvirt.org/FAQ.html suggests that I try 'make rpm', however that ends in the below error:
missing XHTML1 DTD
cp: cannot stat `./api.html': No such file or directory

Detecting read/write permissions
Hi
I'm currently using a windows image processing application that
regularly writes the user's image adjustments out to a 'sidecar' file in
the same directory as the original image. When the original file is on a
local disk this works fine but when the original image is on Samba
share, the sidecars are not created.
The application reports the following in its log:

At least the following works on Debian 10:
virt-install \
--connect "qemu:///session" \
--name "debian10virt-install" \
--ram "1024" \

File Upload Problems
following the instructions at
http://wiki.rubyonrails.com/rails/pages/HowtoUploadFiles, I am able
to upload to an explicit and existing directory (i.e.
c:\ror\app\public\images\photo.jpg). However, when I try to upload to
a folder that does not exist, say,
c:\ror\app\public\image\newfolder\photo.jpg, I get the following error:
