Menu.i.patch
Patch to disown wxMenuItems after they are attached to a menu. I''ll have a few more like this shortly. I''m using wxPython as a cheat-sheet for parameters that should be ''DISOWN'' Roy _______________________________________________ wxruby-users mailing list wxruby-users@rubyforge.org http://rubyforge.org/mailman/listinfo/wxruby-users

Patches for some object tracking
The following two patches (theoretically) tell Ruby that it no longer owns menu items after they have been attached to a frame. We''ll need several more of these DISOWN typemaps as we get further into this. _______________________________________________ wxruby-users mailing list wxruby-users@rubyforge.org http://rubyforge.org/mailman/listinfo/wxruby-users

Progress on crashing
I''m using my SpaceMonkeys game as a testbed to try to get rid of crashing problems. Earlier today, it would crash for me almost immediately, every time. Now, I was able to get about 50 turns into the game! I mentioned the first big change in a different email. The new change I just checked in was to add the DISOWN flag to Window#set_sizer. This is the first time (that I know of) that we

Guest startup process blocks if a hook's child process is still running (i.e : after forking)
I've been having issues with KVM lately where I sometimes put my host into sleep while a guest is still running, which prevents it from waking up properly. This is somewhat expected due to my setup, but I have mistakenly done this more than once and could use a workaround to stop this from happening. So I've been trying to setup a libvirt hook to fork an instance of systemd-inhibit

Question on SSH_ASKPASS
Hi everybody, I have asked a question a long time ago regarding SSH_ASKPASS, but with the latest version of OpenSSH I am not able to get the desired result. My goal is to launch a script on a remote server via SSH without having to type a password, because it is locally executed from a script. This should not be too complicated, but somehow I am not able to figure this out myself. I have

Error when starting Backgroundrb
Hi Folks, I want to set up backgroundrb on my laptop to do some tests. But when I run "scripts/background start" I get this error: ruby/lib/ruby/gems/1.8/gems/daemons-1.0.5/lib/daemons/daemonize.rb:160:in `setsid'': the setsid() function is unimplemented on this machine (NotImplementedError) from ruby/lib/ruby/gems/1.8/gems/daemons-1.0.5/lib/daemons/daemonize.rb:160:in

3.2.3p1 on OpenServer
Hi All, I compiled the 3.2.3p1 source on SCO OpenServer 5.0.6. When a client connects to it now, they get stair-stepping everywhere. Issuing an stty sane resolves the issue for that login. For bug 245 in 3.2.2p1, the call to setsid() is sshd.c was bypassed due to problems it was causing with Solaris. However, by allowing this method to be called, the stair-stepping goes away. Thanks, Greg

ProxyCommand that creates identity file
Hi there, I'm working on a project to write a ProxyCommand that reaches out to an SSH CA to receive an SSH certificate prior to the connection. The ProxyCommand also creates a tunnel to the upstream SSH server. When using ProxyCommand alone, the issue is that the identity files are loaded as soon as SSH has fork/exec'd the process. It does not wait for a valid server negotiation. I

[Bug 245] SSH can not log out under Solaris 2.6
http://bugzilla.mindrot.org/show_bug.cgi?id=245 ------- Additional Comments From dtucker at zip.com.au 2002-12-14 00:36 ------- Did some digging on this. Carson seems to be correct in that the problem is due to missing controlling terminal. I uncommented the setsid() in sshd.c and added some debugging log() calls to sshd, which generated the following: sshd[21690]: main: before setsid

using ssh-add unattended on dubious files -- how can i avoid a hang?
I need ssh-add to fail cleanly if it tries and fails to read a key, rather than prompting the user. I can't seem to figure out how to do that. This is on a Linux 2.6.26 system, running OpenSSH 5.1p1 (as built on debian lenny/sid) First, the things i've tried: * i've unset the DISPLAY and SSH_ASKPASS environment variables, so no X11-style prompting should happen. * i've

same changes in the DHCP to DNS script
I am "playing" around with the DNS update script from the Wiki (https://wiki.samba.org/index.php/Configure_DHCP_to_update_DNS_records_with_BIND9) and made a "few" changes, which I think could be important. 1. the script dhcp-dyndns.sh should give back the control to dhcpd as soon as possible; therefore I am using a second bash-script (dyndns.sh) to fork of the main script

Once we have a set of binary gems, I suggest we do an announce to wxruby-users and c.l.r, inc explaining this is still alpha, summarising the new features, and that people should

Problems with OpenSSH2.9p1 on Linux/Sparc
Let me start this with the disclaimer that I am a Linux lover that only pretends to have any clue about coding. I grabbed the latest version of OpenSSH (v2.9p1) and went to install it on my Sparc (RH 6.2, v2.4.2). Unlike OpenSSH 2.5.2p2, however, when I tried to compile it I got the following error: ... <compiling away> ... gcc -g -O2 -Wall -I. -I. -I/usr/local/ssl/include
