create vm timeout
Hi all: I create VM on most hypervisors very quickly, about 2 seconds. But some hypervisors are slow, taking more than 10 seconds. I started the debug log for libvirtd and found that some threads had timed out. Thread 95205 has two 5-second timeouts, but I don't know why? Below some information about my hypervisor: [root@node1 datapool]# virsh -v 3.4.0 [root@node1 datapool]# qemu-x86_64

can't define domain - error: cannot open /dev/null: Operation not permitted
Hi, i have a two-node cluster running on SLES 12 with pacemaker. The cluster refused to start the domains on one node. So i took some of the domains out of the cluster and tried to start it manually. This is what happened: virsh # define /mnt/share/vm_documents-oo.xml error: Failed to define domain from /mnt/share/vm_documents-oo.xml error: cannot open /dev/null: Operation not permitted Same

rsync of a reflink from OCFS2
Hi, i have some virtual machines running on logical volumes formatted with OCFS2. I'd like to snapshot the running guests to backup them easily afterwards. The files of the guests are big (100 - 300GB), but the content changes only slowly. So i thought that rsync would be a great benefit because it justs transfers the difference between the current file and the one backuped one day before. I

And HAVE_BOGUS_SYS_QUEUE_H worked for them. However you must have BOTH HAVE_SYS_QUEUE_H and HAVE_BOGUS_SYS_QUEUE_H set. As for INADDR_LOOPBACK. I'd like to know where on BSD/OS that is defined so we can

Virsh command hanging
Hi, I started the VMs with libvirt 3 days ago (17th Feb).  Now when I am trying to shutdown the domain, all my virsh command is hanging even  virt-manager remains in "connecting.."  mode and is not showing active domains. When   I set  the libvirt debug env and call "virsh list"  it hangs in poll. Here is the logsetenv LIBVIRT_DEBUG 1 virsh list 2017-02-21 05:31:09.241+0000:

rsync of a reflink from OCFS2
--no-whole-file would only make it even worse. It would have to read the remote file over the network in order to do the diff then it would write the whole file over the network anyway (--inplace would help a little). Local copies force --whole-file for a good reason. On 03/14/2018 10:05 AM, Ben RUBSON via rsync wrote: > On 14 Mar 2018, Lentes, Bernd via rsync wrote: > >> ----- On

snapshots with virsh in a pacemaker cluster
Hi, i have a two node cluster with virtual guests as resources. I'd like to snapshot the guests once in the night and thought i had a procedure. But i realize that things in a cluster are a bit more complicated than expected :-)) I will shutdown the guests to have a clean snapshot. I can shutdown the guests via pacemaker. But then arises the first problem: When i issue a "virsh
