[Bridge] Linux bridging code bounces back frames?
Hi, I'm trying to build a bridge using a 486DX2/66 with two 10 Mbit Ethernet NICs. The machine (tsushima) is running Debian stable and kernel 2.4.26. Previously I used it as a router, so I know the hardware (NICs) is working. The NICs are as follows: eth0: WD80x3 at 0x280, 00 00 C0 0A 2C 2F WD8003-old, IRQ 10, shared memory at 0xd0000-0xd1fff. eth16i.c: v0.35 01-Jul-1999 Mika Kuoppala

Slaves under Squeeze
hi, I recently upgraded my Debian Lenny system to Squeeze, and have been happily running nut as a MODE=standalone system talking to my Cyberpower 1500 avr lcd via the usbhid-ups driver for a couple of weeks or so. No problems. Now I'm trying to hang another machine off the same ups as a slave, and it isn't working. The problem I'm getting is best illustrated by what

Grandstream GXP2160 + SRTP
Hello, I am trying to setup a Grandstream GXP2160 IP-phone with secure calling (SRTP). Secure signaling SSIP for registration is working great ! I follow this guide : https://wiki.asterisk.org/wiki/display/AST/Secure+Calling+Tutorial But when I try to make a call with SRTP, I get stuck. There is an initial INVITE which is anwered with a 401. There should follow a new INVITE with a nonce,

received packet with own address as source address
Hi, we''re running 4 xen servers on our network with multiple network cards. During HighLoad we experince degeneration of inbound network traffic through our loadbalancer. I might found a reason for it, in Dom0 dmesg output looks as follows: [1157421.975910] eth0: received packet with own address as source address [1157421.975957] eth0: received packet with own address as source

Xen Networking and bonded interfaces on Debia Lenny
Greetings all. This has been an ongoing issue for me for a few months, and I''ve been trying to get an answer. My server has two NICs, and I want to set up the following: NICs (x2) -> bond (mode 5) -> Xen Bridge -> Doms ...however, trying to configure this doesn''t seem to work: network-bridge steals eth0 instead of bond0, which breaks the bond AND my networking. Bridging local physical interface to tinc
I can’t seem to find info about layer 2 tinc tap interface bridge with local physical nic. I have successfully created two nodes configuration with tinc acting as switch. My problem is ethernet packets only flow between two nodes and not to hosts on bridged nic. Example: Server 1 - eth0 bridged with tinc tap device, then bridge gets IP via dhcp server on physical nic subnet. Server 2 - local

nobody owned smbd processes are not ending
I am running the latest release of Samba on RH8 (2.2.7-5.8.0). I use it primarily to provide master browse functionality, and to act as a print server (using CUPS 1.1.17-0.2). I am watching a TOP session, after printing from a W2K workstation. (I restarted Samba before I did this). There is now one smbd processed owned by nobody, which is not ending (and the print has completed). In my

permissions on Samba share mount point in RHEL 5
Dear friends, I am straight away coming to the point I have a samba server<http://www.linuxforums.org/forum/#>and I have created a public share (with full permissions for every user in network) and I have mounted it on a RHEL machine. The problem is that permissions on the mount change when I restart the samba server and other thing is that when any user on rhel machine creates any folder
